I finally tried baking pretzels, but it wasn't perfect because I got so excited and I couldn't wait the dough to rise. So me and my daughter started making it even the dough didn't rise yet. It tasted so good even though it was a bit tough. hahahaha Next time, I will make it perfect! Do you guys like pretzels? Did you ever bake one? I like eating pretzels with my coffee or hot chocolate.

Hello chicgale
Congratulations on your pretzels!
I like the big pretzels that are warm/hot, but I'm not such a fan of the little pretzels in the bag. I have never tried making my own pretzels, but now that you bring it up, it seems like it would be a good idea that I would like to try.

Hi chicgale, that looks so yummie . Yes i do love pretzels but i never bake it, because Im not a patient person. I remember when I was a little kid, my mom bought me a book by edith unnerstad, and in one of the chapters was mentioning about pretzel, then I asked my mom to buy me pretzels lol and until now I love pretzel but never bake one. I like eating it while reading my favorite books.

The golden roll in baking or anything that revolves on precise measuring is "Patience" with it you'll be rewarded .
hmmm my suggestion would be to use instant yeast (if you have lil patience) since you leave in Philippines (me too) it wont take long for it to rise(the dough). But u have to reduce the amount of yeast if your gonna use the instant one to 3/4 or 1/2 depending on climate warm humid days will make the yeast multiple fast in the dough those faster rise, colder (cloudy/rainy) weather would halt the growth but not that much since where in a tropical area.
I haven't really made pretzels but I bake breads and cakes my must fav is the croissant and jellyrolls (I think i made a discussion about it here and it has a picture).
You should try and do it again and make another discussion about your sucess on round 2

I am hoping to get a pretzel maker soon (I have been dropping hints that I want one for my birthday in July). It looks like it could be a lot of fun. I am hoping that my niece and nephews will have fun eating them since when we go out I always end up sharing with them (my niece always says to me, "I'm your favorite niece, right)and when she says that I know it is my cue to share. Do you have a pretzel maker?
