Facebook hopes to release its own smartphone.

what do you think of the idea? http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/28/tech/mobile/facebook-phone/index.html?hpt=hp_bn11 I personally don't think Facebook needs a cellphone now. There use users already just to make money. every time a user signs in they get paid for that. then they have ads on every page, then there is the games. people can chat to their friends, or message them on their so why do people now need a "Facebook Phone"?

I'm not sure what the point of having their own phone is... So many phones out there that can have Facebook app that it's pretty pointless to make their own phone, isn't it? But hen again, I guess there's a market for everything...

I think it is a bad idea since there are lots of competitors out there to battle at them with and considering their background, probably the main feature of their phone would be more on their website and not surfing the internet. Hehehe.

They are now a big corporation, so they need to make some diversification. Either to refresh the business or just simply to get more revenues.. Personally, I don't really interested with Facebook Phones, though.. I think they should focus on software development instead of hardware..
