What a very thoughtful parents you have Jazel. I love veggies but not all kinds. I remember one time in college when my Mom came to visit me in the university she was bringing a box (laptop box) and I got so excited because I thought she bought me a new one but then when I opened it up it's full of bananas. She told me that it is from Dad and I just burst out laughing. Anyway, just sharing. Enjoy your veggies! and oh add up some meat so that your kids will love it.

Wish I still have parents like yours who cares enough even when we are on our own. Yes, I admire my parents for doing the same once in a while when they are still alive and I miss their kindness too much. And speaking of squash and ampalaya, these days we eat too much of these stuff since my wife is a veggie lover and in control of the kitchen and our lifestyle . . .

My mom has a veggie garden too in their province where they lived with my dad and every time she knew that I was coming she harvest some crops she has in her garden. Some are squash, papaya, spinach, amplaya. It is very healthy my daughter is vegetarian that's why she is happy with those veggies.

Yeheyyy...give me some :p I only have trouble with my second child. He is not fond of eating veggies. Unlike my daughter and youngest, they love veggies a lot and they even like it fresh (fresh veggie salad) I am sure kids don't have any choice but to eat what is on the table

They will not learn any younger that veggies are good to eat. It was fun this Thanksgiving that my great niece had a recipe with veggies to cook. She used yellow squash. So we actually had four generations cooking dishes for the meal.

Parents are so very essential I know they will be quite caring grandparents too and your kids who right now dont seem to like these veggies will surely start appreciating them. My younger brother, never liked brinjals(eggplants) and my mom did cook only and only these for about a long one month... okay, she forced but then she always believes that veggies are good for health and we should be thankful to the Lord for providing us what HE has - we should never say no to anything that is served to us. This helped both of us (me and my brother) and we never missed enjoying our food.

I'm not a fan of vegetables. I don't eat Filipino style cooked vegetables. For some reason i just don't like the taste. I like Korean's vegetable meal though. So if i get to receive loads of veggies today it would be me who would be frowning and not my son!

Wow, so you will not be buying veggies anymore jazel. It's wonderful when parents from the province would visit their married sons and daughter in another place. They would usually bring foods that they know would be appreciated by their children. But in the case of the kids, perhaps you could just make recipes that would not obviously be seen as veggies. Like the squash, you can add them to the leche plan. And how nice that your husband can make another type of eggplant recipe. You can actually make an eggplant pizza that my sister has done. There are a lot more jazel of making those veggies nice tasting for you kids.

Oh.I first think parents are very great. They always care about their children health and living status. In their mind, they need to protect their son/daughter and provide best food like today refer veggies.Sometimes,in society who are you most care and obey person? It must be your parents. When you get your own child, you will get anothe content to feeling this influence.

Wow! It shows their love. Parents are always great. Three months before when my parents visited here to see me packed about 8 big bags and most of them are only food items for us and still we are using it. My dad gets everything in huge quantity and still it is not over lol. As it takes two days travel, they never bought any veggies lol.
