of course, swapmind, because i do not like to follow directions and enjoy being contrary. i also like to enter public places through the exit door and sing the opening lyrics to the prince song raspberry beret at the same time, "she walked in through the out door". that is just the way that the psycho artist rolls.

It is because humans have the tendency to push rather than pull. Beside, pushing is an action that goes in the flow with your body movement. For example, when you are walking towards a door, pushing is a force in flow with the walking movement. Beside, pulling need more effort and energy so human will take the easy way out unless not given a choice.

Yeah this happens to me all the time, then a friend hits me on my head and says its push and not pull...hahaha. I hate this kind of door, i would love to see the doors with "push or pull" written on it, that would be easier and we won't become fools in public.

Haha! I just experienced that yesterday! I pushed the door when there is a clear sign of pull. But I didn't get to focus on the sign that's why I made the mistake. The next time I go through that door, I focus on the sign and think before pushing or pulling.

Hahaha, I sometimes get to do this. On some occasions, I really don't notice the sign and when I realize that the sign is there, I just laugh at myself. I actually like pushing doors instead of pulling them. I have this thing about germs and I don't want to hold the door handles because I know it would be very dirty. Seeing all the finger and palm prints on the glass doors make me feel like the door is really really dirty. I either push the door with my feet at the bottom part or my knucles on the glass part, as long is my palm and fingers don't make contact. Even if the sign says pull, I'll try to see if the door can be pushed. Sometimes, doors go bothways but people just put a pull sign for whatever reason, lol.

You might be used to pushing doors, so you would subconsciously start pushing any door that you see before your eyes can see the "pull" sign. I think this happens to everyone occasionally.

Don't worry. Everyone commits mistake. I done the same thing because I didn't read the sign and who cares?-- as long as the door open, it does not matter if it is push or pull, ha ha

this is not much serious, my friend. I'm not usually read the notice. I usually push. If I can't open, I'll pull :D

Years ago when I had confusion between the meaning of 'push' and 'pull',I had the experience several times.I should have pushed the door of my doctor's chamber, but I tried to pull it and it did not open. Then the nurse had to help me.I felt ashamed.Later on I tried to understand the meanings of the words from a dictionary.I imagined a bullock cart that's pulled by the bullocks as the bullocks try to drag it towards themselves. The meaning of the word 'pull' became clear to me and at the same time I understood the meaning of the word'push.'It was just the opposite of 'pull.'

Oh yeah, maybe because we are used to push door when entering rather than pulling it.
Imagine when you are holding a lot of stuffs, in both hands, how can you pull the door right?
So- I also made the same mistakes, I can't remember how many times (duh)

Once or twice this has happened to me and unfortunately that there are just people right there who were kind of amused right with the situation. Of course, there are times where when your brain is just elsewhere, you really just may do things like this. At least I know that I have done things like this. Push instead of pull.
When this happens, it almost as if part of my brain slaps right the other half of my brain. There are just going to be a lot of times where that happens, but a bit too late. Thankfully it doesn't happen that often, but I really do have my moments. Especially on some doors it varies what direction you come from, whether you push or pull.

Sometimes, yeah. It's due to habit, I suppose. I tend to walk towards doors with my head down (I'm usually fiddling with my ipod) so I just lean my upper body towards doors. This technique works perfectly upon doors that you ought to push anyway in the first place, but I do look stupid when the door in question is supposed to be pulled, not pushed.

It happens a lot, when my hand was on the door handle and my mind was somewhere else.
