zombies and cannibalism

Are we safe today. Allegedly on Miami a police officer have shoot a man that was eating a face of a certain body beside him. The allege man get the warning from the officer but just keep on eating flesh, then he started shooting the man and still alive until down on the fourth bullet.
I just heard this from a friend in FB that was base in the US, I thought that she was just sharing a frank video but not until I also heard it on our local news here, it was confirmed that the news was true.
The officer who killed the cannibal are now a hero but still horrified on what he witnessed. Are we safe now, some also posted a joke about this that we need to plant more beans on our backyard in order to be save. But I hope that it was just a exceptional circumstances in the US and not really something that we should fear of.

The attacker and the victim both took LSD. maybe they got high, causing their body temperature to rise, thus, they peel off their clothes.. then the temperature rose up to their brains causing them to act sort of an animal, which in turn, makes them sort of a cannibal, eating off human flesh. i think the two got into a fight, the killer being the winner, and started eating off the victim, just like a scenario in predator versus prey, wherein the winner would then eat off the loser... it's kinda disgusting but i still don't believe this is the start of a zombie apocalypse..

What is the problem? Cannibalism always did exist and it always will be. The fact you did not notice it before or most people are not confronted with it doesn't mean it was something from the past.
And if it comes to being safe today, we are more safe today (even we live with more people on this earth and much closer together) as we did during the middle ages.

I recently heard about this story as well. A lot of zombie fans have naturally been throwing out "it's beginning!" styled comments of course.
In seriousness it's a pretty horrible story, isn't it?

My husband talked about this awhile back and we were like thinking if the person is a cannibal or a zombie 
.
We were kidding around that it could be a sign of the zombie apocalypse but its kind of scary to think that someone out of nowhere could rip your face and eat it while you're fighting for your life.
I hope the man who got his face eaten will be alive and he could get plastic surgery after to correct the horrible thing that happened to his face.
