If life had a remote control...

I have seen Adam Sandler's movie on this, and i think it would be really great to be able to control time through your remote, and i just couldn't imagine how rich i could be being able to fast forward to see what numbers one in the lottery and then rewinding back to bet on those numbers, lol!

I definitely think that the rewind button would be the most used, probably overused. We make mistakes in life but it would awesome to be given the opportunity to do it over again another way. Noise I can block out. Having had two boys 2 1/2 years apart, I learned early how to mentally block the noise out. So, the mute button would probably not be used by me. I've found that when I need more power (energy), I can usually drum it up. There are days when my energy level is low but, at this point in my life, I'm able to give in to it and let it pass. Also, there's always coffee. But, I think I'd keep rewinding so I was always five years old again. I LOVED being that age.

This is similar to something I have thought about recently. Part of a course I was doing was about plugging into an "experience machine". That is to say that you get plugged into a machine and, basically, live your life exactly as you want to. No pain, only success, etc. Your discussion is similar. I think that it seems like a good idea until you really think about it. I'd love to fast-forward sometimes. Other times, I do feel like I'd like to rewind to a certain point. The thing is, if you rewind and change something bad, you never know what other changes might come about. Or if you fast-forward, you might miss something important. I wouldn't use the pause button very often. Well, unless I could use it for an hour every morning so I could stay in bed for a bit! A friend of mine said that a life remote would be good. I said that it would be typical to lose the remote! What would be good, though, would be to have an instant record/replay button so that I could rewind and replay certain things to my OH when he thinks something completely different happened!

hi dolce vita. having a remote control for life is indeed interesting. i'll most likely use the 'rewind' button to go through my happy memories again or go back and do something all over again. the 'fast forward' button i'll use to speed up time especially when i'mbored or when i'm stuck in traffic. lol! the 'mute' button ill use when i want to experience peace and quiet and the 'pause' button when i want to just reflect on what is happening now and see if there are better ways to go about with what i'm doing. anyway, going through life with a remote control might be a good idea at first but eventually i'll tire of it and just keep it stashed away in some place and just live through life normally. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

If such a thing could ever take place then there would be no need for God.There is a lot of evil in the world and wicked men would use it for furthering their evil ways and agendas and create havoc in the world.Thankfully God has the ultimate remote control in his hand and he will never allow his creations to destroy themselves.Imagine if Osama bin Laden had such a remote,then what would have happened?

You made me think of what I can do with the remote control! Its a great idea I think but for me the excitement on not knowing what will happen in the future will get lost and everything will just be within reach and no challenge at all since its just like a game that you can restart over again if you failed in one stage. Its going to be okay if you'll have like a time frame on when you can only use the remote or how many times in your lifetime so that it won't be abused.

That's funny. But amusing thought. If we had such power over our lives, I guess the most overused button would be Rewind. We humans make a lot of mistakes along the way, and that is just normal, so if we all had a remote control we'd be rewinding everytime we make a mistake to correct it. Pause may come in second place as we may sometimes want to pause life to think about what we are doing and to see if we're on the right track. Stop comes in third when we all want some peace and quite. Wouldn't you wanna point the remote and hit the stop button on your noisy neighbors?

This is really exciting and fun. but for sure, the world will be in all confusion and devastation :p

Hi friend, Really like your concept of remote control.If i can life ,firstly i use forward button.Because i want to know about my bright future.If want i'll press backward.Sometimes mute button also to avoid unwanted noise.I will not use my power button because if we switched it we became in off mode.Each and every second of life is to enjoy.so enjoy life without missing any second.But always my preference is to forward button to know about future.Everyone is exited about their future.I am also in an ecstasy to know about my future.

If life had a remote control, I believe It would be fun, though I believe it will also be abused. But If my life had a remote control, It will surely make my life easier. Imagine, I could control the volume, I could change the channel and If I don't like it I will just press the power off. Haha I will surely use it in our house when mom keeps on nagging or yelling I will just press mute and of course at work, when the boss ask me something that I forgot I could just press rewind then thats it. Wow, what a life it would be if it has a remote control.

Well if my life would been been like a remote control, then i would have always made it the way i wanted it to be. I would have never made myself bored of things and would have engaged myself in things that could cheer me...!
