Here recently I accquired a guitar. I have not played in a really long time. Now I am not worried about relearning everything. That is something that I can do rather easily. One thing about me though is that I like to find different ways of doing things. Like when it comes to the guitar that I have, even I play it the usual way here lately I have been looking at other ways to play the guitar. Like I have been working on playing the guitar much like the way you would play a dulcemer. Is there anyone out there who has any ideas as to ways of playing the guitar. I know that there are alot of creative people out there. So lets come yo with some ideas.

Some really interesting ways to play the guitar but that are fairly difficult to play and would take some work are the drifting style which is a really nice dreamy style which involves a lot of harmonics and tapping as well. Andy McKee and Jake Allen are some great artists that employ this style if you want to look it up on youtube to get more familiar with the sound. Slapping like you would on a bass is also something that you can do on the guitar and learning that would definitely give you something new and interesting to try and learn. Some other really interesting techniques include tapping and sweep picking.

I use my finger and a pick at the same while playing the guitar. I use my middle and ring fingers to pick the strings and I alway keep my pick in between the thumb and first finger.
