Has Anyone Had a Cyst Removed from Ovary?

If you did how long did it take to recover? I have to have the old fashioned kind of operation on it in July. I was wondering if you could actually get up to use the bathroom, brush your teeth and that sort of thing yourself or if it was very hard at first. They say I will need 4-6 weeks of recovery afterward. :( Any input would be very helpeful if you know anything about it first hand especially.
