What are some good antivirus apps for android?

Now I believe that everyone had the right to protect there technological Devices from hackers and viruses.Recently upon purchasing my android phone I installed Avast antivirus for my phone. So far it seems to ne working okay. Now in order to use the firewall I have to have my phone rooted.
Now I was wondering if by chance if there is a better antivirus app. As well I was wondering if there are any antivirus apps that dont require the phone to be rooted. Or is that something that requires the phone to ne rooted so that you can use the firewall .

In my opinion I think the best Antivirus for android devices is AVG antivirus and number two for me is Avast mobile security, number three for me would be kaspersky, next ill stick to Norton mobile security lite, and last but not least is McAfee antivirus & security
