Samsung Galaxy S3... Should I buy it?

I've always picked android devices over apple ios devices (iphones and ipads).
I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 which I bought 6 months ago.
I do believe it's time for a refresh. Yeah, I sell my 6month old devices to buy new ones.
I'm thinking about the Samsung Galaxy S3. I know it's not a tablet, but it's a fairly large mobile phone! About 4"+ screen size. What I do like about it (that my current tablet couldnt offer) are 3 things:
1.) Ice Cream Sandwich - The Galaxy 7.7 is still on an unstable honeycomb OS
2.) Quad Core Processor - The Galaxy 7.7 has dual-core only
3.) S Voice - A Siri-like feature of the S3.
What do you think? Is this something I should consider now?

I've owned an iPhone and my wife has her iPad. :)
Have so much respect for apple, as the products are really well built, and well thought of. :)
I love though, that android devices have so many choices! Plus, applications and content are catching up. :)
What i don't understand with Samsung though, is their pricing model. It should've been a bit cheaper though..

True, but I think android apps are never close with those of apple apps. I guess samsung thinks that it's at par with apple and thinks that the only way for it to capture apple's market is to be of the same price range so that people would also see it as a luxury phone... Perhaps they want to be seen as a high-end phone for the high-end market.
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

I would consider it! ha ha i would love to get a hold of that phone myself. i have a samsung phone and i love it.. yeah only problem was that the memory is so low i am running out of memory for my games and applications. i think when you check out the phone, then maybe you should go ahead and have it for yourself...

If you can afford the high price of Galaxy S3, then you should definitely buy this phone.
Its one of the best phone till date with all the features which one would expect in a premium segment phone. And, as you are already using Android 3.0(Honeycomb) on your Galaxy Tab 7.7, you would really like the Android ICS (4.0).
If you need an android device to use as a phone, then Galaxy S3 is the best choice.
If you need a Tab, then "The New iPad" (3rd generation) is the best choice.
Btw, about your Galaxy Tab, you can install custom ICS(Android 4.0) ROM on your tab.
You need to check if there's any custom ROM for your tab or not.
Coz there are so many custom ROM's out on the internet for almost every variant Galaxy Tab and other Tablets and smartphones.

Hi
I prefer to use iOS over android, so not much familiar. I had used s2 in past and it's performance was quite good. So I am sure s3 must got something better in all concept. The only concerned is that I have heard that it is too costly, I don't know the exact price as I guess it's still not launches in our country. I wonder why samsung is going in apple's direction in terms of prise. But if you are interested then I am sure it is one of best.

Go for Samsung Galaxy S3, the reviews are out and it's performance is good enough in many ways.
With Android 4 the experience will be different from honeycomb, I think buying a 4 inch mobile is better than buying an tablet ...
