I suddenly felt pain inside upon reading the confirmation that 3 among the fatalities in Qatar fire incident are Filipino. 3 of our great teachers are now dead. I understand it is an accident, no one wish this to happen. The sad thing is- they left our country alive full of hopes and dreams. Now they will return back full of grief and with family welcoming them with broken hearts. Just reminds me of my article about the most precious currency in the world is TIME Time-that we spend with our family and loved ones is the most precious and valuable currency So long Kababayan- MABUHAY ANG MGA BAGONG BAYANI (Long Live the Modern Heroes) http://ph.news.yahoo.com/im-dying-farewell-messages-qatar-fire-victims-150831121.html

That is indeed a sad news ms.jai, no one wants that to happen and yes our OFWs are there for they want better lives for their family and in such case it brought grief in the family which is so heart breaking... I hope somehow our government can help the family.. and yes time is indeed valuable.

I do agree, our fellow Filipinos need to work overseas just to give brighter future for their family, the thing is life is very hard here, if you are not competitive enough and you do not have the right connections you will not be able to find a good job

my condolence to their families that was left behind. you know the only thing that comes out of mind is how the government can be so "not enough" .Another is my emotion of hate against them because of the corruption that made people leave this place. am sure we want us to move on and do our best to make sure that this shouldn't drag us down as a country

My sincere condolences to the families of the fire victims, but I do not know, we have a saying " when it's your time it's your time", As you said time is precious in fact so precious that it has no value to be compared with currency, so let's enjoy things while they last, you could be in any part of the globe when your time runs out so make the best of it, what makes it terrible is when you are not near your love ones and trying to make a living for them. What do you think?

hello louievill, What makes it more devastating is when one of them was able to call her husband - what do you think the husband felt during that time? Wasn't it a torture for the husband- hearing his wife voice in desperate situation and he cannot do anything-...that was the most heartbreaking moment for the couples.

very devastating and heartbreaking indeed, it's the feeling of helplessness...somewhat reminds me of what happened in 9-11

Whenever i hear news of the same manner , jaiho, i feel sad for those OFWs who have to endure the loneliness of being away from their families. They endure the hardships of being there just to be able to provide for their families in the Philippines. I may not have lots of money to give to my family, but they told me they are happy that i am with them all the time. I condole with their families.

hello D, I have many relatives working overseas and my mom who lives there. So, I know how does it feels. And, imagine the call- that was a real torture when you hear your beloved voice gasping for breath and you cannot do anything to save her/him. Gosh- I might go insane

When I told you about this news, there are no confirmation who are those fatalities. I was shocked when the names revealed and 3 teachers who are working with the kids are our beloved countrymen. They can actually leave the kids and save their lives if they want to- but they choose to stay and die with the kids rather than feeling guilt all their life.

Yes that is true that our countrymen are victims of this tragic incidents. As far as I know the victims sacrificed their lives to protect others which is really very noble of them. I think it is just right that they should be recognized by the government as heroes indeed.

hello rsa, I believed they should be recognized. They can run for their lives- and just leave the kids behind, which they never did. They choose to stay with the kids without thinking about their own safety- that's really a noble act worth for a heroic recognition. thanks and have a good day

That's really sad jai, we know that they really work hard for their family and thus living their family is really hard for them to sacrifice. I hope our government help and give the family enough for their future,.

Hello Jaiho, this is part of life and risk of going abroad, tragedies and accidents can happen there too besides here. they have worked hard and there's no mistake about that, i hope the family will move on and work abroad too. but most of the time i feel uneasy with our people being abroad, some have move on. But others changes as time goes by working abroad..i hope one day our people make the big step to make the country better so that filipinos won't have to work abroad anymore.

dear LK, Let's cross our fingers for a better nation There is always hope, if only our government (people in the position) have heart and conscience- but so bad, most of them are dummy.

I heard the new the other day. Yes most of the OFWs leave here in our country full of hopes and dream for their family. Sadly some of them returned here in our country sealed in boxes. It is really sad especially for their families.

hello acey, Indeed. Their family are now mourning for their loss- unexpected and very shocking kind of loss. Just imagine when one of them was able to call her husband- that was a torture for the husband listening to his wife's agonizing voice and he can't do anything to save her. a heartbreak news....

I read the news and it was so tragic. Seems like they were trapped because some of the teachers can still make calls to their loved ones and told them that they were dying. The mall has safety negligence. May the rest in peace!

hello Jenith, That was really tragic. Yah, they are trapped- without fire exit and not all employees even knows that there is a nursery on that part of the mall (what the....$@##) That makes me even feel bad- imagine hearing your love ones, crying for help- and you can't do anything because you are too far. You can't even touch or reach a hand- that's torture on the other part thanks and have a good day
