Yesterday, as I paid my purchases from the sale, a woman placed her purchases at the counter to pay also, next to me.
I glanced at her for once and I saw that she was looking at me. So I looked and I smiled at her and she smiled also. Then she told me, hey you don’t remember me do you? So, I looked at her intently and was to say sorry when suddenly I recognized her face. It was my classmate from high school, in an exclusive school for girls.
We suddenly both called each other’s name while we laughed. Thus, after we paid, we agreed to go to a café to have a snack and a long catching up of our lives.
Have you experienced the same incident guys?

Hello simplyd! :)
What a nice coincidence to bump into some old friends and classmates, isn't it?
Well, I have experienced the same...when I am from work and heading home, I suddenly see my old classmate back from high school that time. A guy classmate who I didn't made friends with back then. We did chat for a while but then headed right to where we are going.
The other guy classmate I did saw when heading home again from work that time, we are the same heading home, so we did stop for somewhere to eat and we did chat but then too bad he still likes me way back til now...though I felt like he isn't in love with me. He just want to do something I don't like to entertain. Well, he's kinda naughty and he keeps insisting but then I'm happy he didn't won. He still respected my decision not to do something indicent. From that time on, I never wanted to see him again.

THat was nice that you get to met some of your old classmate, annavi.
Exactly, old classmates when you meet them again, even when they were just batch mates not classmates or just of same section and not close to you, seem to take interest in chatting with us when we meet them. That's because from being an ordinary student, we now looked different and have our own careers.
Thus, the tendency is to be curious of what we become after having gone from being students.
This unexpected and surprising meeting with our old classmates or friends brings back the memories of our childhood. It gives us a nice feeling.
But like that one who until now desires you indecently, well i would feel the same like you do.

Yes, true.it's good to have accidental bumps and surprised to see your old classmates. I remember I had bumped into one of my girl classmates. She was not that close to me back then when we are classmates in high school but then I know she is friendly enough to say hi so i don't have regrets approaching her when we meet face to face. She did treat me that time since I was looking for job that time. It's good that she already had a carrer of her own though I have had bad feelings that why did she made it and i didn't? I guess we all differ in attitudes. she is much tougher than me. SOmetimes that makes the hindrance to success.
I know time will come for me soon...she just made it earlier.
Yes, those childhood memories came back to life wheneverwe bump to them and we can't avoid not reminiscing those times. cause we want to laugh again and feel that we have been there...times of childhood.
The guy I had meet that time, I hope not to meet again cause I don't want to have the same feeling of being thought of indecently. Well, I know there are rewally guys who thinks that way. I just felt uneasy on them...Hate them exactly!

Just be civil with them, whenever you meet them accidentally.

That is so nice so see an old familiar face who happens to be our classmate or someone we met before. It happened to me recently too. Just this month, after work I went to a mall to buy myself something that I can eat for breakfast. I was on my way out of the mall, when I saw someone. We boht looked at each other with mouth open and then we both say our name and have a little chit chat in the middle of the mall. Then we realised we have common things to talked about so we decided to sit in a cafe and carry on with our conversation

It's really a happy feeling to be able to see an old classmate. Good for you because it wasn't for 35 years that you haven't seen her. At least , you two were able to recognize each other immediately.
In addition, it is indeed good that you both discover that you have common things to talk about. Hence, a old connection can be rekindled should you want.

Yes, even if we belong to a different group during the past, the fact that you haven't seen each other for many years would make you stop and catch up with what happened to our lives during those years that we haven't seen each other.

The great thing there is that we're not even a close friend when we are still classmate. We belong to a different group of friends. But when we saw each other here, we suddenly just stopped and started talking about personal things.

I have encountered a similar, not not exactly the same experience. Sometimes I glance at people I think I know, but I don't know if they remember me or if its someone else that looks like them. Running into people I sort of recognize but aren't sure if its them or not (like people I haven't talked/seen in years) is an awkward experience for me for sure. xD Nice encounter though!

Yes, it's somewhat shameful that you weren't able to recognize her at once.
However, having seen her last when we were just teeners and now were older, would really make us not recognize each other at once.
Well, maybe if we have met each other after 15 years, we could at least recognize each other in no time at all. But 35 years?

Well, that happened to me too, winterose.
I really cannot remember the person too. Anyway, i asked her "Where did we met?"
And she explained. But the, i really can't remember, so i just listen to her recollection and agree.

Not exactly the same way as yours but in 2007 i started hunting for my old school classmates through the `net whom ihad not met for over 45 years and managed to find around 20 guys. Most of them were in my city but some were in different parts of my country and some in foreign lands.Since 2008 we have been meeting at my house every Jan and this year we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our final school class in Feb again at my house. It was great meeting the guys many of whom had never met each other after leaving school.

Wow, so you played the coordinator of your batch. That's nice veejay, because you took the initiative of reuniting your former classmates, imagine 45 years!
They might have changed a lot in terms of looks!

Yes, it reconnects you once again with the past.
What was even nicer is that she paid for our snacks and she even would like us to have other foods!
Ans she drove me home too. Oh yes, she's still single at this age but she's an anesthesiologist.
And she told me that had i informed her that i would be operated on, she could have given her service for free. OMG, sayang na sayang. I paid for it.

Of course, I too experienced a similar incident last month. I went to my college where I studied 12 years back. I went to collect one of my certificates. I saw one girl in sari came running towards me and she said " Hei, do you remember me?" After a second, I recognized her; she was my classmate 12 years back and now, she is working as a Lecturer in that college

It's really a wonderful feeling of meeting an old classmate when you were just teeners and whom you haven't seen a long time.
It would be difficult to recognize him/her because you were all grown up now. But, reminding you of being classmates would let you remember him/her from long ago.
