wasting water... do you have such habit..???

I can well relate to what you have said.And your mother is also justified in scolding you because even if it is for one day we must not waste water unnecessarily.Some people [ not you because you have clearly stated you don't like it]are very careless with water but I am also particular that water ought not to be wasted. I get very irritated when I see people just walk away after using the water from taps and leave the taps running .

Perhaps this lesson tells you that you should do something immediately. Otherwise the delay may make you forget it at last. I don't like wasting water, too. Since it is a precious resource and besides here the water price increases again. I love China

I hate wasting anything. Is there some kind of a timing mechanism you can set to make you remember to switch off the bore for your water.

Your mother is right in scolding you my friend. You should have been attentive in filling the bore with water. Water is precious. Some places have no clean water so we should be thankful we have. So, we should also do our part in conserving it. Just apologize to your mother so she will be appeased. And next time be attentive to it. Every now and then go to check it.

It appears that you are just preoccupied on things. Im, for one, like that too, I tend to be the "multi tasking" person. Texting while driving or making a call while crossing the street. I also tend to forget some of important errands in a day just because I'm engrossed with something. Now, I'm making a list on the "to-dos". To prioritize things. Theres nothing wrong in doing things at the same time -but we may do first things first. As for the water thing, see, I'm in a third world country where water is not that abundant. I admit, when I was younger, I tend to waste water and think that is limitless. Now that I'm an adult, who experieced some days without water, I realized how water is so vital and can really make a difference to us.

I believe that you never want to waste any drop of water. You just forgot it. I am also a forgetable person. I constantly forget stuffs. i will forget to turn off the light when leaving the room or forget to switch off the bore. Sometimes I also get scolded by my mother or my sister. I know it is my fualt. But I don't know why I just can't get rid of this bad habit. I also try to force myself to bear it in mind to turn off what I have turned on. It does make a differnce for sometimes. But I find it hard to make it a habit.It is just so tiresome that you have to keep your mind awake every minute. Maybe i am just finding an excuse for myself.

It happens to everybody, this is a lesson that everybody should not taken for granted. Always be aware of everything around specially to those things that may affect our daily living. Your mother scold you because the water meter reader in your house is keep on rotating and the water is keep on wasting. In this the water consumption and bill will affect the daily budget of your mom. That's why next time be aware of what your mother told you and don't leave the water flowing unattended.

It takes about half an hour to fill up the tank? What tank are u filling up that requires such a long period of time? If it's just something small, i'm sure u have wasted a lot of water during the last 30mins! I dun like to waste water as well but it all depends on what i'm doing. If i'm washing dishes, it's natural for me to use as little water as possible. But if it doesn't help, i would turn it bigger, using water pressure to force off some stubborn stains. Sometimes, big is a form of savings too, but my mom would scold me if she doesn't see the reason to my doing so.. haha

I confess that I have left the sprinkle at the garden on and forgot about it for a long time a couple of times. In both cases, the computer addiction was the cause of my lack of memory. One of those times it was a good idea though. I usually use less water than it´s needed in the grass in Summer because I´m very concious that water should be saved. So the grass there was almost dry. After that day, the grass turned a beautiful green. That was about a year ago and since then that part of the lawn has been beautiful. So maybe that water was needed after all.

This is always the usual scene here in our house with my son. They do not know how to save water and I always end up scolding them. I just don't know what to do with these guys. Sometimes I want to have our water connection cut for the meantime so they will experience how hard it is when there is no water in the faucet. And I will let them fetch from the neighborhood for them to realize the hard life when there is no water -duh.

if you want to fill the tank with water,then i will provide you with a circuit that rings when tank gets filled.its really a simple principle.Same way that you light a bulb.instead of bulb you use buzzer!!

I dont have a habit of wasting water but there some incident that I forgot to turn off the faucet in the bathroom because I am on the phone talking to someone. I know water is very important to us so need to save it and make sure not to waste it. For you and for me next time we need to make sure to turn off first the faucet or bore to avoid from wasting water and to prevent from scolding. :)

Yes water is very important for our daily needs, we need water foe the plants aslo when cook, wash, shower, and for drink etc.. So, waste of it is a no,no... in other countries there many people dying because of draught so why we waste water? Think of the people that are dying because they have no water to drink nor food to eat. So, let's try not to waste water because every single drop is a life...

I get people who leave the water taps on in my bathrooms at work, and it just frustrates me so much! I don't get how people take running clean water for granted

that is why when ever you have to work on one thing at a time and concentrate one the work you are doing water is so precious and in some areas they dont even get water for drinking so what ever u do do it carefully

It's not my habit to waste water because water here is very expensive. We need to conserve water to lessen the bills

Hi Shs, since nowadays things are getting expensive, we are always trying our best as not to waste anything. Because everything isn't free in the city. We needs money to be able to buy and use any source, include water and electricity. That's why, we always make sure that non of our family member waste anything in our home. We try to re-use and re-cycle things in our home to the maximum.

a pleasant day shskumbla, i think nobody wants to waste a single drop of water. and nobody will agree to make it a habit as well. its just, due to some reason, you have forgotten to close the valve for the bore that you have open.

Sometime i do like you even though i don't want to waste water also. In the evening i have to do many works at the same time and sometime i forget to switch off the bore too when water is full in a tank. Well, i did try to limit it as less as i can...

Yeah! I always have this kind of habit in wasting water and I keep doing it unintentionally even if I tried to avoid it.
