I just ordered a lenovo laptop that was refurbished on sale for $279.00. So with shipping and taxes it was $317.18. This is even cheapier than the one I originally ordered from Walmart. It most likely won't be here tomorrow. Unless they ship it out now, and it may be here tomorrow but doubt ful.

Hi Ricki! Did you ever talk with walmart to ask what their problem was. The list a sale, didn't they?!

I tried calling Walmart today couldnt get through then I was put on hold so I hung up (Im not paying to sit on hold). So I will try tomorrow morning, and see what their stupid reasoning is. But I took my business elsewhere and wont be shopping onlien with Walmart and probably try to avoid shopping in store as well.

welcome to mylot. Lenovo refurbished laptop for $279. I am sure it will work well. It may take two/three days for you to get it. How much the original was costing? Buying refurbished is not wrong but luck should be there in favour of us.

Very nice. if you are happy with the refurbished ones--probably they take care to fix them 100% right-- it is fine. good . enjoy. true new ones may be costly but new ones may have latest configuration.

Is Futureshop Canada based? I may look into the site though I would rather get the laptop from a store where I can see it and mess around with it first. If they have something that is pretty good though I may just get it anyway as I know people who can help me fix it if it breaks or if it needs something.
Has Walmart contacted you back yet? I still think they did you wrong and should have to give you a gift card or something for your inconvenience.

if it works well nice. but why you had to cancel order with walmart. is it on account of delay. we should not be in too much hurry.

Wow, sounds like a deal. So, what are the specs for this computer? I just got a all - in - one recently, that is gateway, 23", 1TB hard drive, 4G memory, and i3, 3.3 GHZ CPU. It was $499, and it was a good deal for me too. It also broke my wallet for a while. So, I guess I love this computer so much.

I think it is good to go for new computers as the cost of the computers have come down greatly in the past one year. I would suggest you to wait for one month and then go for a laptop as I think the price of the laptop will come down more down. I think it is okay to go for refurbished laptops or desktops from the companies that you can trust.

I've never heard of Futureshop; maybe I'll look into in the future. That is really good price, though; hopefully, the laptop will be sufficient for your needs. Good job on getting it refurbished, too. I am not sure why more people do not look into refurbished computers. If it works as it should, it will save you a good bit of money. For instance, I got my laptop for about $600 (17.3", 2.9 Ghz dual-core, 6 GB RAM, Blu-Ray, ATI Radeon HD 5470 512 MB) from Newegg and I couldn't be happier. It can handle everything I throw at it; and it also was a refurb., so I save a few hundred dollars. :-)

Ahh, I see! I'm trying to make my computer last at least four years, since I bought it for school. I understand your reasoning completely, though. You would saving money in the long run; and it doesn't matter if the computer is new or refurbished... when it breaks, it breaks, regardless.

I think Futureshop is a Canadian site.

I agree completely I dont see any different in refurbished and new computers. Im really hard on computers so they suually only last me about a year tops. So I would rather pay $300 a year rather than $600 when they last just as long.
