Do you like your music loud, medium tuned, or turned down soft?

I dig blasting the stereo to the fullest it will play. My speakers are pretty loud, but my wife and daughter don't allow this when they are home. I have good hearing still. I once went to a concert at 110 decibles, back in the 90's. it was a Def Leppard concert and it was the loudest concert that I had ever been to. I had a blast that night. I can not hear the full quality of the music when it is turned down low, or even medium setting for that matter. What about you? What's your favorite setting? Loud, medium, or soft?

I do enjoy really cranking up the tunes, but due to a decrease in hearing, I have to watch myself. If I had my druthers, I would listen to the music as loud as possible.
I once sat right in front of the entire left of stage speaker tower at a Dave Matthews Band concert. It was awesome! But I worried about my hearing the whole time.

Yeah, I hear well but have an ear that thumps if I am near the speakers at a concert, probably because I am damaged goods.

I usually listen to music at a soft level, only low volume since it might ruin my ears.. but when i am outside i listen to it in medium volume..since the people are loud.. i never listen to it in max though since it happened to my friends and their hearing became really bad.

I like my music really loud. When I first started driving I would freak my parents out. They'd get into their car and the music would still be on, and it would cranked up full blast. They always almost had a heart attack. lol It's funny. Lately I've tried to listen to music more on a medium level. People have been getting into my head about potential hearing damage because of loud music.

i am cranking up the tunes right now because 20 of the 30 possible setting levels is not enough...ugh. Maybe i do have hearing loss. I hope not, it sounds so good up loud.

Well, it actually depends on the kind of song I am listening to and also on my mood. If I am in a really good mood, I prefer listening to songs setting it loudest! I enjoy a lot that way! And if it is a slow melancholic song, then I prefer to listen such songs set on medium or soft! But most of the time, let it be any song, I listen it loud. It makes me feel energetic and happy! :)

For the most part I like my music to be at a medium level. If I'm cleaning though I like it to be louder that way I can hear it in different parts of the house. I hate for the music to be really loud while we are in the car, it just too loud for me then.

You really shouldnt have the music loud in the car. My wife constantly reminds me of how dangerous that is. She says I won't be able to hear emergency vehicles. She has a point.

You got to see Def Leppard?!I had the Deepest Crush On Rick The Bassist! To answer your question is yes! Hard rock is meant to be play as loud as you can take it. Pop music and R&B is to be played at medium. So is Country. Classical is suppose to be played at low. Most Classical music has it own dynamics. If you play it Too loudly , when it Becomes loud , you lose some of it's effect.

Yes, my daughter likes her music (katy perry, etc) loud, but not Ton Petty, haha. So, have you heard of the Climax Blues band? Thats one of my favorites.

I have mildly sensitive ears, so loud noises in particular sudden loud noises make my ears hurt
That said I'm a big music lover still but I prefer my music medium though on occasion I do turn my music up a little louder then usual but not extremely loud to the point that my ears hurt.

Sorry to hear that lod music makes your ears hurt. Alot of people have sensitive ears and from what I have gathered, it is more common than not. This sorta promted my question, as we were talking at home about how loud we are allowed to have it. We agreed to 20 setting of 30

when i am at home and i play music i love and really like if the sound is in medium only, because its really nice to listen and hear music if it is not that loud, even when i used my phone to play music i usually tuned it to medium to make it soft to my ears.

Actually I only hear music using my cellphone. But if given a chance to play my music in a stereo perhaps, I will just set it to medium tune. I don't like a full blast sound for it gets me irritated. Loud music is not good for me, thus I do not consider it music anymore, for me it is already a noise.

Yes, a majority will choose soft or medium compared to loud I think.

Hi,
I also like to listen music in loud voice but my wife doesn't like loud voice. She likes to listen at low voice. And my son likes to listen it on medium. So I always listen it in medium voice. But when there is no one in the house I take the chance to listen music in louder voice. But I have to take into consideration my neighbors. they should not be troubled by loud voice.

I think it depends on what kind of music iam listening to , i mean if it's a rock music or metal i like to turn the volume to the max but if it's a sad or soft song i play it at a meduim level

i like to play it loud.but my wife and son did not like it when I was ringing the song out loud inside the house. The compromise that occurred was that I was listening using a headset. Songs like Def Leppard with such cool drums should not be heard quietly

i would love to be able to blast of a music or sound..i think it would be better because this way we can truly feel the rythm of the music especially if we are in a mood for it but most of the time, i just have to to do it medium or soft because of the area where i live, the houses are too close together..it might be a disturbance to the neighborhood if it is too loud..

hi,
I like the music not to the fullest which will create a nuisance to others, neighbors and even our self but soft tuned. So much soft tuned as only i can listen and enjoy it.Id other want to enjoy along with me then i would prefer medium tuned. Generally i have notices that the speakers are pretty loud when there is any gathering, party, orchestra or any get together of youngsters.
