Last night i dropped numb on the floor,
my body laid pale, movements were no more
The silence of stillness as the swift wind blows,
clothed the night with loneliness as it goes
And as darkness filled that vast empty room,
thus triggered a memory which came out of the gloom.
A memory where two sould vowed to forever,
A memory of a love, pure and stronger than ever.
But those memories broke to pieces,
When lightning cut through.
Like the day it all ended,
the day i lost you
Last night was the night,
i couldnt run nor hide,
Last night was the night
This heart of mine died.....

Whew! Thank goodness it's just a poem! Hoodedboi, I can feel the pain you are going through by your poem. It's alright to be in pain as pain proves our humanity just as love, empathy, loneliness, despair and other emotions. Yet, life does not end because of your break-up. Just as the sun rises and the moon shines at night, life goes on and yours must too. Continue living but don't stop loving.

Your poem is nice. It reminded me of one of my colleagues. When my boss asked where the other people have gone to, she replied, "they were no more" which she meant they already have gone home.
Your poem also reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe and Nathaniel Hawthorne.

What beautiful poetry. That poem actually describes what so many people go through when they fall in love and then it all falls apart. I felt the pain and suffering in this piece of writing its simply a beautiful poem.
