John's only one daughter was suffering from blood cancer. Doctor said that this is an early stage, so her treatment is possible and have all the chances to get cured but treatment is so costly. John became disappointed as he is a farmer and not so much money to treat his kid. So, he lost his courage still his relatives and friends managed some amount but it was also less than the treatment. Suddenly, he received a cheque of 50000INR ($1000) and a letter by post where the sender wrote... "i know you are in a great trouble, so i have sent this cheque, hope it will help you. I know you have not recognized me. Well, i am Viki who was lying on a road after a car accident and you brought me to hospital and donated blood. It is only you for whom i am still living. All happened 7 years ago. So get busy for her treatment". John widened his eyes and later cried for this help from a person who was completely forgotten. He just acknowledged "Thanks friend".
This is not a story. Last evening i was sitting with my eye specialist friend who told me about this. Letter he said... "do you know what is the relation between our two eyes,... they blink together, they move together, they sleep together, they cry together, they stare together, although they cant meet/watch each other. Friendship is like these eyes.

Well, as to this story my personal understanding of it is that it's an issue of giving and receiving . In other words, it's a chain of helping and being helped by others. Help those who are in need is a virtue adored by people of almost every culture and those who are really passionate in helping other may not think too much about if they can get compensations in return before acting deeds of beneficial effect. If everyone in the society cheering this moral virtue, we can easily expect to receive unexpected help from others .

Hi jasmine...
When such persons are still existing in this earth, no one should lose his courage. Anything can be gained from unwanted source. Helping each other never belongs to only friends. It may be a stranger whom we ought to help on their critical situations. Right?
have a nice time.

That's absolutely right, dear shihham. Helping others, in an ideal notion, should become a feature or desire cherished by everyone in any soiety. I am sure that it will act like a benevolent cycle and in the long run people may have more trust and happiness over their lives and the tie between people of any nationalities and all tribes may be much closer. I know that it's in fact very difficult to achieve this near ideal status and there will be a long way to go but at least I think all of us should work hard towards the ideal and let the Earth to be a more pleasant place to stay at! What do you guy, my fellow lotters , think about what I said? Please share your ideas with us.

Prakash has said the right thing. Interaction cant make a friendship. With mamu, i have virtual interaction but can mamu desperately say that i am his good friend. I have doubt on him. If he thinks that way, then whats the possible reason? hope mamu will answer it. If we get blessed by someone(whatever the reason is) in our critical issues, then s/he is the best friend as far i can believe.
have a nice time.

Hi bro You got me here.. Actually I thought that person john wasn't knowing that who sent money, but know that person. But yes, they don't know each other.
Yes... Its they don't have any interaction , just an accident in which that person save viki and he did the same when that person was in need... It can't be call like friendship, but I am confused what it should be. I mean yes he was just paying back his help... but not all people do..

Hi mamu
And where the hell do you find such friends today?
In those stories these docs tell you?
The donation send to the helpless father by that guy is just a fact that some people are grateful to what you did. There is no Friendship involved here as if it was, the two would have been in touch. I term this incident as a return favor. You saved my life, I am thankful to you... I got the news your daughter is ill and you are in need of some money... here is my return favor.
Sorry, I dont believe more than that at least on that story, and also on that "Friendship is like eyes". Harsh world and real world is much different.

Mamu
So, do you think that doctors are lier? oopps.
Well, it may be return favor but how much you can expect such a favor regarding whatever you did earlier. I heartily believe that "a friend in need is a friend indeed". you may be my friend but in my critical situation, i may consider a stranger is more friendly than you. I neither follow the sugar coated gossips of friendship nor an emotional hug. never.
have a nice time.

This is very touching. It is indeed proven that some things happen for a reason. We might be doing things today that we do not like or understand, but the time would come when we'd realize that it has brought as to something that would make us a better person.

Well thank you. I sometimes meet people that I do not remember but they remember me and telling me the good memories they had with me in our brief encounters. This usually happens with former classmates in minor subjects that I do not even recall. I'm always caught in surprise because they seem to be very happy to see me, I sometimes feel guilty for not recalling their names right away. Awww...

Hi shibham,
"The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" If you want another story towards it, i can share.
The good you do comes back to you. I think that is what reflect in the story. It also shows about the generous character of giving / helping the needy without asking for help.
In friendhsip we really share our concerns so the other is well aware and if he/she can, then help us out. I have an online friend and he is ready to offer me help at any time of hour but we haven't met yet. And our friendship continue for more than a decade now. .

Hi viju...
many many thanks for sharing the story. I have not heard this story earlier. So, both the stories tell the same "the evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you". This is really a moral story. Thanks for your effort.
And thanks again for considering me as a friend to you. Have a nice time.

Friend, I like your story, and I also like the analogy of the eyes and how they do so many things together. It is good that John so generously has given of himself without thinking to gain anything in the past. I am also pleased to hear that someone recognized and remembered the kindness he had done.

hi shibham....!
I agree with you friendship is like that...even if the friends do not meet in real....they are always there for each other....they also know when their friend is in difficulty and are ready to help him in the times of need...true friends need not be in front of your eyes...they live in your hearts

Our deeds always come back to us! I'm so glad to hear that this person's good deed has come back to help him in his time of need. It just goes to show that whether we realize it or not, everything we do paves the road to our future and determines how hard the journey will be.

What a wonderful incident, shibham. This grateful man whose life was saved by the farmer decided to help him at his time of distress and sent him the required amount.Very rarely do you find such people who remember the good done to them by a total stranger and reciprocate in kind when such a situation arrives. This shows that when you do good to others you get it back when the need arises.

Hi veejay..
It makes me to feel completely different when i heard the story. I never heard such an instance of gratitude earlier to this. You right, we repay whatever we do now. We should not expect it but it will arrive automatically when we need.
have a nice time.

Sincere helping is actually giving without asking anything in return. That's the true essence of sharing.

I heard that story (what the doctor said) before.. so it's a story. I have no opinion about that since we can do with one eye as well.
What is true is that we all might be in someone's mind, even if we don't remember that person anymore or never met that person for real. For some reason or an other they are important to us or impressed.
$1000 is very cheap for a treatment.. no insurances for a doctor/hospital?

Hi kitty.
May be, but i dont think that my friend has read your story and described to me. In this world same case may happen anywhere. We cant get the total view of an object from a single eye, Perhaps you know that.
$1000 is too much for a poor farmer who had few dollars earlier to this help and help is always help, you cant measure it by accounts.
have a nice time.

It's so touching to read this article. We don't know the worth or value of certain things or people we they are with us but once when they are away from us, we will realize that he/she was so precious for me. Be happy and keep the people around you happy. Life is short.

What a beautiful story.
I also have my story to tell- almost the same.
This is why my grandfather's words keeps coming to me, reminding of kindness and good deeds.
You may not receive the rewards right after you did one good thing- but in the long run, you will reap what you sow.

THis is a very touching story my friend. It only shows that a good deed is not left unrewarded.
In this case, God helped John on the 11th hour. JUst as we think there is no hope anymore, a hope or a help comes. God is strongest when we are at our weakest. He knows when we needed Him most.

Thanks SIMPLYD.
And he sends someone to help us like a 'prophet' as i have mentioned above. So we should not leave a helpless person alone. We should help and ought to help. It will bring something greater in future without less expectation.
have a nice time.
