I just know that June 2-10 is the Go Fishing Day in USA. Do you like going fishing? I am not very interested in it since I am not a patient person. It really discourages me I wait for a long time but I can't get anything. Going fishing needs the skill and patience.

I liked fishing well enough when I was little. My mother used to take me all the time, so I was quite accustomed to it. However, as I got older I lost my interest in it...especially after what I saw the last time I went fishing. So I don't fish anymore. I was never big on catching my own food anyway. I'd much rather buy it from the store! LOL
I have to agree, fishing is a great way of teaching someone patience. Plus it can be rewarding as well.
Happy mylotting!

Hi youless, so today is the Go Fishing Day in USA, no wonder I don't have any knowledge about this. I'm not a person who could sit near the water patiently for long time as well. Worse still, here, the tropical region mosquitoes are available everywhere in the open-air. It's really awesome to be attacked by such disgusting blood sucker every now and then It's easy to get suntan too having such outdoor activity in day time. Therefore I feel reluctant to learn fishing even though it's healthy to remain in the open-air for the air is always fresher
Happy posting

Does your blood tastes rather sweet and delicious. Or you like wearing darker color clothes. I find mosquitoes usually always attack me often if I put on black pants or blouse We would better put on light color clothes if going for fishing. Or apply insect repellent on our skin every now and then to keep away the awful mosquitoes

Fishing is one of our family bonding. As i remember we travel and camp for fishing. My father bring us to a company outing with their families. Now, I'm an adult and my family is no longer interested in any outdoor activities i make sure at least they experience the joy it brings. As you said your inpatient it is a great way to exercise and test your patient . Maybe someday it will change.

I understand you may enjoy the activity. You get to find things from the underwater and you can't tell for sure what may come up. The process is relaxing, makes you wait for the next surprise. You sit and relax, believe you will eventually catch something good.
Man, for me, Myloting is also like fishing. When I find something to respond to, it's like I got a fish in the ocean of information and ideas. One thing that may start an inspiring discussion and reactions between users. Maybe an outcome will come out.
I can tell you an example that I enjoy right now eating a salad with powdered sesame, tomatoes, cucumber, radish and kohlrabi. That idea came to me after reading a discussion about the radish vegetable and the next day, I decided to buy some radish and eat them. It's like I got a nice fish from the ocean. a metaphorical fish.

Apparently, it is always June 18th according to this page: http://holidayinsights.com/moreholidays/June/gofishingday.htm Mind you, I am no expert and you may have other more reliable information, however, I would point out that 'June 2 - 10' is not a DAY but a week and a day!
To 'go fishing' can be exactly that, of course, but it is also a euphemism for 'not at home and not available' and also for the activity of actively looking for something (often compliments in the murky waters of social interaction).
There is a dating website called Go Fishing! and "Go Fish" is also the name for several games, usually involving some kind of 'pot-luck' selection where one hopes to make up a set of cards, letters or whatever else the game demands that you collect: http://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Go_Fish
I have only occasionally been fishing (that is, to actually catch fish) but I especially admire the skill of the fly fisherman where artificial flies, created with great skill out of brightly coloured feathers and other fibres, are used to lure unsuspecting fish to snap at them, become hooked and to be brought to land with a line which is often capable of only holding a fraction of the weight of the fish without breaking.

I am much into fishing, but my father-in-law used to fish every day a few years ago. Every day he could bring some fish home. Now as he is now in his seventies, he has given up this hobby of his.Fishing needs patience and skill, either of which is what I have when it comes to fishing. I think that it is mainly because I have no interest in it. Besides, I am busy with my work. When I am off from my work, I like to do something else like surfing on the Internet. Take care, youless.

I live in the United States, and I have never been fishing. I would love the opportunity to try it. Patience is something I have sometimes. I live in a place where there are a lot of areas to fish, but I am afraid that I would be competing with sharks or gators. When I went to go see my grandparents in the south, my uncles and my father went fishing for catfish. Catfish have long whiskers like a cat, that is why they are called catfish. After the fish were brought home, we cleaned them, cooked them, and ate them. They are delicious.

I used to have a great time river fishing with my dad. Even though it has been years,I still can remember everything like it was just yesterday. As a kid, the word patience was not listed in my dictionary but all my frustration will vanish into the thin air while my little heart jumps with joy and excitement once the bait is caught.
I think fishing is thrilling and a wonderful sport and everyone should try it once in a while as it is a form of mind relaxing as well.

Hello youless
I enjoy the fishing if I am in a boat. I like to ride around in the boat. That is fun and it doesn't get too hot. I like riding in the boat more than the fishing from the boat.
I also like to do the fishing if the fish are biting. Like you, I am not that patient. If the fish are biting, I like to do the fishing. But if it is slow, I am not so excite about it.
I wonder how the fish like the idea of Go Fishing day? I bet they aren't so excite about this!

When I was a child, fishing was one of my favorite hobby. I was hoping to get a fishing rod every day during my childhood. To be frank, the main reason why I liked fishing so much is that I love eating fish. And thanks to my parents'low income, I resorted to fishing. LOL. Actually, I am not a patient person either. Yet I consider this activity as a good way of getting over my flaw.
