Facebook was down for ten/fifteen minutes today evening

Friends --
From 6.15 pm to 6.30 pm today --IST -- June 1, 2012 -- facebook website was down and one was not able to access. It has since been rectified and am able to log into facebook. Did you notice it today? this is the first time I had this experience with facebook website.
pl share your experience/ideas? May be it was down in Chennai or India only.

I have not been on FaceBook for quite some time. I have not noticed that it was down. And from what I remember from the movie, it was stated that FaceBook should never go down for nothing. I guess there is a first time for everything.

i am not telling anything negative about facebook except it was down for a shortwhile. that was the first time it was happening so and I though it fit to post in mylot. now i am used to facebook going offline occasionally.

you are right. our country is thickly populated country and that too many people are using internet nowadays. now it is fine there is no problem in facebook.

Hi ravisivan: Although I'm a little bit addicted to Facebook I have to say that I didn't notice anything today because, today it's my day off and I usuallt take this day to rest and do just relaxing things like for example being here in Mylot.

Facebook is working here in my country but I noticed few errors while logging in to my account. Some pictures are broken and become smaller from it's original size. Maybe facebook team is having some updates and I hope this will be fix sooner.

Sorry to inform you but Facebook sucks and its longevity decreases on the daily. That website is just terrible and I'm hoping for other social networks to sweep its clientele and activity so that they may rise from the ranks.
I'm actually a bigger fan of Twitter and I deleted my Facebook so when it went down, nothing phased me! Facebook is weak, Twitter is alright, and now there's a million other really good networking tools out there to be discovered!

It was down longer than that for me. This wasn't the first time its been down for me. I was surprised that it was down at a time when many want to get on Facebook. I'm wondering if to many people were trying to use the site at the same time.

This problem was there for a few minutes only in chennai during the time I have reported. I started this topic immediately to bring on record. also to get the experiences of others. some others have also experienced this problem. thanks - thanks for the response.

I had some downtime, Facebook said it was unable to log in at the time, but it was over about ten minutes later. No worries. I always stay up to date with my computer protection because Facebook apps and other links can contain viruses, despite the fact Facebook claims to be safe.
