Smoking Is the Same As Long-term Suicide

That is the statement of a doctor when he opened an anti smoking coalition meeting in Indonesia. In a cigarette there are lots of dangerous chemical compounds that will destroy most of your body organs. The most dangerous one is arsenic. If the arsenic is taken in a high dose, less than 6 hours the person will die. The arsenic contained in cigarettes is of a low dose. This explain why the smokers need 30 years to die.
What is your take, mylotters. Looking forward to your comments on this. Thank you.

If i'm gonna tell this to a smoker friend of mine, he would tell me that that doctor is a liar! There are people whom he knows who have lived longer than what everybody thought and they all smoke.
I'm not a smoker. I've tried it for a couple of months. Didn't work for me. Didn't get addicted. Now how many years do i have left before I die?
It's not that i'm saying this isn't true. In fact i agree with it that smokers don't die old because they die young. But this kind of campaign and studies actually don't work to help smokers quit.
