has this ever happened to you? you thought that everything is going nicely, happily, without anything wrong then you noticed your guy or girl seems to be deep in thought... then you asked him or her the question and he or she just look into your eyes, cried, and told you "yes"...

Glad to hear that you have found a silver lining in that bad event in your life. It would be hard to have been with someone for as long as you were together. I'm glad that your boyfriend now treats you like you deserve to be treated. We all deserve a good person like that.

:) it did happen to me. it was over three years ago. i had a long distance relationship but i saw nothing wrong with it. my ex and i were together for 7 years already and we were nearly going 8. he came to visit me one day and i was so happy. i didn't feel anything unusual till late evening. i asked him why he was so quiet and i jokingly asked him if he found someone new then he answered "yes". at first i can't believe it but i saw him cry and then i realized that he was saying the truth. i just stood there, not crying, not feeling, just shocked. he got out of the room and never came back. i stood there numb. i literally felt my heart turn ice-cold and i just kept on asking if it was true. i cried a day after when everything finally sunk in. well, that was the past. :) i did my best though to work things out between us but he refused and literally shut me out of his life. so i moved on even if it was hard. now i'm good and happy. if it wasn't for that painful event, i wouldn't be with my bf now - and he's way much than my ex. :D so life is good. there is always something good that comes out of every bad situation. :)
and by the way, my ex?..he's head over heels with me now and is begging his heart out for me to accept him back.. :D well, too late. my feelings for him already expired. hehe.

I was married to a drunk, that relationship ended about 22 years ago. Last december I remarried... so it took me 22 years to find someone new.

No that hasn't happened to me. If it has happened to you I'm sorry. It would be hard to deal with something like that. My heart goes out to individuals who have been through that type of situation.

Yes, it happened to me 9 years ago if I am not mistaken. I was working far from him I thought everything was find because we talked everyday and it seems nothing wrong. But suddenly I realized to go back home to visit him and ask him of he has someone else I did mean that question, but he said YES. From that moment my heart starts to feel the pain, my tears drops and my body was shaking because of anger. After that I walked away very far away from him and started a new life. I never blame myself on loving that person even though he hurt me so badly but because of him I became a better person and if he does not cheated on me maybe I will never had a change to meet my husband. Now I realized that in life we are needed to experienced to get hurt or cheated because he/she is not the right person for you, instead when you got cheated it has a good purpose that one day someone will come to you, to makes you happy and treated you special more than anyone else.

it also happened to me over three years ago. i never had a clue that my ex was having an affair. all the while i thought that we are so ok then he came to visit me. i was so happy but then i noticed that something is bothering him and so i just asked the question but i didnt mean it but he replied with a "yes". i was so numb and i literally felt my heart turned cold, ice-cold. it hurt so bad. i tried my best to work us out but he refused and so i gave up and moved on. i wasn't glad that i got really hurt but i was glad that out of that very hurtful event in my life came a new and beautiful chapter. if it hadn't been for that, my bf and i wouldn't be here now so i'm glad at least that good things come in every bad event - always. :) thanks for sharing your story. :)
