After about a week of him being in his basic training, I got my first letter from my boyfriend!!! I wasn't sure he'd be able to get my address so I sent him a letter just in case on Wednesday. Well, I got his letter today and he sent it before he even got my letter I think. I'm still so excited about getting a letter, it's the only communication I've had with him in a week. I keep reading it over and over and it makes me get tears of happiness. While reading it, I hear is voice talking to me and I think this little letter brightened up my whole week. It's amazing how something like that can get you so happy and lift your spirits. In his letter he told me about what he's been doing and he asked what I've been up to and how it is back home. He also talked about how much he misses me and that it's hard being without me. Then at the end of his letter he said he had a big question for me when he sees me next!! He could mean anything and I'm really curious and anxious to find out what it is he wants to ask me.

Haha! I bet that 'big question' has gotten you over-excited even more for when you see him next. I hope you've not let your imagination run wild, because there could only be one question that could be that 'big'! Goodluck!

Oh yes, after reading his letter I became even more anxious to see him. I've sent him a bunch of letters since then and each time I would bug him about hints to the question. I got my next letter on Monday and he told me it had nothing to do with asking me for a tattoo (I always tell him I don't want him getting one and I thought that might be his idea of a "big" question lol) and today I got another letter. This one was way more revealing and he said that his question doesn't have to do with the army or tattoos, it has to do with us being together forever. At the end, he drew a little picture of what I think was a ring but it had all these circles around it I couldn't tell. And then he left me the hint: ___ of fire (It's a johnny cash song) I clearly figured out it was ring of fire, so that means his surprise is limited to a few things. Before he left, he had wanted to get me a promise ring but he wasn't able to afford the one he really wanted. His mom told me before he even left that she thought he was going to miss me so much that he'd ask me to marry him and when i told her he had a question, she swore he was going to ask me. I'm not going to bother him about it anymore, but I sure can't wait to find out what it is :)

I'm definitely curious to find out what his question actually is. In my heart, i think I already know what his question is and what my answer will be. But, my parents will be really upset because I know for sure that getting married before I finish school is not what they want me to do. So i'm kind of nervous and confused at what I should. My heart says be with him but I know my parents wouldn't really approve

This is the first time we've had to send letters to each other. He's in army boot camp now and before he went we saw and talked to each other every day. Now, our only way to communicate is through letters. It's kind of nice to get them but at the same time I really miss talking to him and hearing his voice.

I am happy to note that you and your boyfriend still writes letter to each other. Nowadays, most people are not into it anymore, because of the internet and the mobile phones. However, letters have personal touch and it feels really good that you boyfriend really took the time to write the letter.

Since it's the only way for us to communicate right now, I was extremely happy to hear from him. It's hard not being able to talk to him all the time and I can't wait to be able to call and text him again. But, I do have to say it's nice getting a personal letter from him.

haha thank you. For now, that's the only way we can talk since he can't use his phone or computer while in boot camp. Getting a letter made me feel special because I know he had to take the time out of his busy days to write me something. Sometimes it's hard for me to tell how much he truly cares but hearing it from your perspective really made me realize it.

I'm so glad for you and at the same time jealous. Nowadays, letters are not common as a way of communication and I think that it should be encouraged. Letters for me, feels more truthful and authentic than text messages and chats! The writer of the letter spent so much time on it so there's also an effort. And there's the excitement of receiving it because of the number of days we have waited for it. =)

It's a nice change from texts and phone calls and I'm really excited to get it. The letter feels so personal and it makes me feel good knowing that he took time out of his day to sit down and write to me. I've written him a letter for every day I can't talk to him and tomorrow I'm going to send my letters to him. It's really exciting and I already can't wait to hear from him again.

That's what his mom said. She even told me way before he left that she thought that when he got back he'd ask me because he'd miss me so much and want me to go with him. I just mailed out a letter and I asked about his question and if he'd give me a tiny hint because it's killing me not knowing. Thanks, have a great weekend too!!

That is so exciting!!!I can't wait to find out what he ask you as well. You be sure to let me know the next time you see him and he ask you a question. I can understand how much receiving his letter has done for you. Especially when you are so use to spending all of your free time with each other.

I just sent him a few letters and in my last one I asked about his question and if he'd give me a hint. I can only think of a few things that he could possibly want to ask me. The first too are more serious to me and the last one (which I'm hoping it isn't this) is him wanting to get a tattoo and asking me if he can get one. So I asked if he could give me a hint or at least tell me if that tattoo thing is a no. Hopefully I'll hear from him soon and then I'll let everyone know! And then when I see him in July and he asks his "big question" I'll be sure to post on myLot :) Getting that letter made me incredibly happy and it brightened up my week. It made me feel good knowing that even though he's so far away he still misses me and takes the time out of his busy schedule to write to me.

Right now he's in Army boot camp and he's not allowed to use his phone or computer. So the only way to communicate with him for the next few weeks is to write letters. In July, I'll be flying out to watch him graduate from boot camp and I'll be able to see him for a few days
