I too am a chocolate fanatic, but don't eat it as much as I'd like to. It gets expensive and I'm still working on loosing some weight so I try to avoid over eating it, you know the everything in moderation. Lately my chocolate cravings have been for home made chocolate fudge, and brownies. I made brownies on my birthday instead of cake. I love chocolate cake, but I was craving brownies like I haven't in years. For myself I usually buy stuff to make home made chocolate treats, or dark chocolate reeses cups or Dark chocolate Hershey bars. To give as gifts I usually try to get the kind the person likes the most, usually a variety of Whitmans, Godiva (My personal expensive favorite), or Russel Stovers. Also, when I can I love to go to the Godiva shop at the mall and buy their huge chocolate covered strawberries, but they are expensive so I can't do it as often as I'd like to.

Hi resy, I am probably one of the few people who just don't like chocolate...when I was younger I only desired chocolate once a months and that was it...I use to receive boxes of chocolate for Valentines Day and it would sit on top of my China Cabinet until it turned white, why, I forgot it up there. But now every once in a while I will have a candy bar..but for some strange reason I never had strong desire for chocolates... and still don't

LOL, it depends on the person's sweet interest. if you're going to ask me; that chocolate that is sitting on a dark cabinet will be consumed after 2-3 minutes. LOL With your permission; all you have to do is to let me know if you don't want one. Send it here if you can. Or give it to someone who loves eating sweets. In that way; it won't turn white... Or if it is a white chocolate; that's an not an excuse to eat it. ^_^-) Happy mylotting with us chocolate lovers ^_____^-)

Well I love chocolate just as much as the next person, I do stay away from it as much as I can these days though. The longest I went without it at all was about a year when I thought I had a bad rash from it, via eczema. It turned out I can eat it and it doesn't bother me sometimes with that. Now though I think I can stay away from it for at least another year or more again. It has been maybe two months. I read how chocolates and chocolate stuff may help contribute to getting ovarian cysts which I have a very large one now to be operated on in July. Some things like this just turn me off after reading about it so chocolates are no longer on my desired list of favorites. The more I eat the more I want of them, so staying off of that kind of thing is best for me. Chocolate can also contribute to cancer in some cases, and i don't want that either. I know they say it's good for you in small doses but not for me, anymore.

My very best friend is chocolate. But only milk-chocolate not the dark one. I know the dark is supposed to be healthier, but not for me. I buy for me, for family and friends. I don't know anyone who wouldn't like it. I buy mostly Milka; and Boci, this one is hungarian. And my current favourite bar is KitKat Senses it is so yumm with the haelnut filling. I'm about to have two of these hehe :)

Hello resy and welcome to myLot. Oh, chocolate the food of the gods. I have not seen nor heard of chocolate flavored margarine.I have seen and bought chocolate nut butters. I have to have my chocolate every day. It has to be dark chocolate.Right now I'm into Dove's raspberry and dark chocolate swirl, Almond dark chocolate and BROWN&HALEY Almond Roca. It is a buttercrunch Toffee with Chocolate and Almonds. I also like Ghirardelli Intense Dark chocolates, Lindt Excellence Intense Orange Dark Chocolate Bar, Lindt Excellence Intense Mint Dark Chocolate Bar. I don't care for the milk chocolate because for me it tastes too sweet. I don't buy chocolates for my friends because the choice of chocolates is a personal thing. Not every one likes chocolate. I live wit h a granddaughter that does not eat chocolate.

Chocolates - Do it really make you fat?
I do love chocolates too but I don't buy them unless they are dark chocolates. I used to hate the bitter taste of dark chocolates but now I don't know why when it is not dark I don't seem to enjoy that much anymore. Anyway I still eat even not dark especially if I did not spend for them.

Oh i love chocolates too. ALthough, i don't like a sandwich fiiling made of chocolate. I just want the chocolate bars. Speaking of chocolates, yesterday my sister-in-law's balikbayan box sent to us arrived. There were lots and lots of chocolates of different kinds. Most of them are big Cadbury bars of different variety. At once, i chose the one with Roast Almond because it's my favorite. I also get a box of Macadamia Nuts and another big bar of Cadbury which we will be sending to our daughter in Manila. I also get other types, Snickers among others and kept it in our bedroom, because husband and i would usually snack on them at night while watching TV. The rest is for everybody (me, my husband , my parents in law (one is almost diabetic) and my gay brother- in -law who is at home only on weekends) , kept on the fridge. Some, we also gave to my bedridden FIL's caregiver. And as of now, i am eating my share.

I super love chocolates! This is the first time I heard about chocolate-flavored margarine Hmm..i'm interested about it. What do you use it for? Is it a bread spread? Like peanut butter? Just yesterday I bought 2 M&M with nuts. My friend and I ate them while we walk home from work Sadly, I think I should cut down on chocolate because I have early rheumatism. I'm not sure if this is correct but I read somewhere that chocolates are no-no's for people with rheumatism

I like milk chocolate, chocolate ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. Once I start eating one of those it is very hard for me to quit. For instance this evening after dinner I ate a whole 8 oz bag of Hershey milk chocolate drops in one sitting. It was enough to make me feel full which is rare for me when I am eating chocolate. I will regret it when I get on the scales at bed time.

Hmm, you have a lot of examples of some chocolates, resy21curapika. I eat the chocolates, too. But, naturally, I only do so for the health benefits. My loving parent started me at a young age and I have faithfully followed their chocolate plan for me lo these many years. I try to eat the chocolate every day. It is a major part of my staying healthy regime.
