Last time I was at the beach... hummmmm.....
2002...
Oh, I SAW the ocean in 2007, but I only got on the boardwalk and then was over the beach in the casino in Atlantic City... but didn't get to walk in any sand that had been RECENTLY on the beach! (there was some sand in the area over the beach in the casino)

I am used to having th sea just 10 minutes away. I couldn't live far away from it.

I love to go to a beach. This last Summer I could not go anywhere as I was with chemo almost 9 months. But now, although it is nearing Winter in my country, I am planing to have a couple of weeks off and fly to better climates, warm sands and beautiful seas. I love the Caribbean and I´m thining of that as an idea of traveling.

I am feeling a lot better, thank you. There are several things to check first before going to the beach, but I´ll go anyway.

Beautiful picture, I wish you lots of fun in the sea side, for us, June is the month when heavy rains begin, the time for beach, at least for sunny beach time, goes from December to mid May, I also love to go to the beach, and swim and dive. My best wishes and have lots of fun.

Beautiful picture! Well, we've already been to the beach twice this year (or, as we say here, "down the shore"). One of the many benefits of living in NJ--easy to get to the beach and there's lots of 'em! Enjoy your visit--hope you get to go many times this summer!

Here too. For the last 2 months. Today was a great, sunny day though.

I live just three miles from the sea but swimming isn't possible due to sinking mud. Dangerous tides also mean a swimmer can drown. Still a walk along the coast line or sitting on the sand watching my children play are enjoyable activities. Last year I spent some happy times in the Caribbean coastline of Colombia. My trip this year wasn't to spend time on beaches. Due to my son's broken leg we stayed away from beaches. Now he is better and summer is here we plan some time on the beach. I am hoping to visit Cornwall for a week in the summer school holidays. It has some gorgeous beaches where I am likely to try swimming. I usually swim at my local sport's center and go to its spa as well.

Thank you! I will! I agree, listening to the sea is extremely relaxing.

June is the start of winter here, but there are still plenty of people in the water where I am. We had our last beach day 3 weeks ago. The beach is less crowded at this time of the year, but it is still popular as we are a major tourist destination and there are always people here from cooler climates who are willing to take a dip in the water. Not me though, I can wait a few months! I will take my kayak out, but not go swimming until maybe September or October now.

We enjoy the beach very much, but mostly the beaches that are uncrowded. We used to live about 15 minutes from a very nice beach and we went several times a week until about two months ago. We also went to an up and coming beach in Jamaica this January, and to Cumberland Island National Seashore, in December.
I hope that you have a good time at the beach.

I went and it was great. Cold at first but for seconds. Thanks for the reply. I prefer beaches with no people too.
