Time to get rid of the EPA

A report released shows that the EPA is using airplanes and drones to fly over farms and ranches to see if they are polluting. These planes and drones are taking photos of the property. If the police or law enforcement thinks you are engaging in criminal activity they have to get a warrant to search you property. Now the EPA does not know if you are polluting so they fly over and record what is going on on your property. If they find a violation they may come after you.The other danger is that as public records a group could request the record and use them to sue you in court.
The danger is that the EPA is searching your property without a warrant.
Is it time to eliminate the EPA when you consider this and some of the other things such as stopping people from building a home with out a hearing, giving approval and permits to build a facility and then not allowing them to open the facility. The EPA seems to be out of control and sees themselves as above the law.

Bob, I hate to tell you this, but the DEA can do the same thing that the EPA is doing. Should we eliminate the DEA as well? Farmers are using more chemicals than ever in fields, and that run off is creating toxic algae which destroys lakes and streams. Here is a link to what this algae does to lakes in my area http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/05/09/grand-lake-st-marys-had-algae-in-march.html

Just because the DEA does it does not make it right. One report stated that the information could be obtained with a freedom of information request and that groups could get the information and take legal action against farmers and ranchers. For example an animal rights group could sue a farmer for cruelty to animals because the group doesn't feel that the farmer has enough range for the cattle to move about.
What next drones flying over our homes to see if we are smoking in front of children or to see how much CO2 we are emitting and then tax us for it? The EPA already contends that it has control over our property and has fined some people because the EPA said that the land was wet land because they have a photo of standing water on the property. This is an agency out of control and out of touch with reality.

WOW...if their causing ALGAE growth, Obama ought to give them a MEDAL for providing the next big thing in energy production!
Seriously, the DEA like the DOJ is as corrupt an agency as there is. There is no place for ANY bureaucrats in the Constitution as far as I know. IRS, DEA, NEA, DOJ all of it is corrupt and possibly illegal. They have the power to take YOUR property without due process.

Don't forget the tax assessors who fly over our farms to see if we've added anything they can tax.

We do need to get rid of the EPA, but this won't do it. It certainly feels like a violation if they're hovering over your property taking pictures, but technically it's still considered to be in public view if it can be seen from overhead. I'm pretty sure there have been court cases on this when police have used similar tactics.
Regardless, there are no shortage of good reasons to disband the EPA. They aren't helping anyone through crap like this.

I think "getting rid" of the EPA would be like throwing the baby out with the bathwater! Clearly, someone has to police companies and individuals who pollute our water, ground and air, don't you agree? Even if someone owns property, they DON'T own the air above it and they're not allowed to poison it or surrounding properties. I have no doubt some changes could and should be made but doing away with it isn't the answer. I say "Mend it, don't end it".

The schools quit teaching people what their rights actually are. No wonder people don't speak up until it's them in a bind.
