Will you grow up?

As I was watching the movie Peter pan, I began to wonder and ask myself this. If given the chance to choose between growing up or staying young all the time like Peter pan, what will you choose? And why? As for me, I will choose to grow up because as what Wendy said, there's more to life than just playing all the time and having no problems at all. What is your answer mylotters? Feel free to voice out your opinions. =)

I think both are wrong..I think we do need to grow up, experience life as mature adults, but also stay young at heart. Just yesterday I was at my niece's step-daughter's graduation party and I took to the see-saw with my son. If I am able to play, I do...

Aw, thank you...I hate to say it, but I guess with age comes wisdom.. So was it the see-saw with my son that made my response the best?

I have already grown up, because for some unfortunates, the grown-ups in their family or any other oraganizational structure do not act like grown-ups, so they themselves have to become grown-up for them. They partake in foolish activities without knowing that the innocent children will have to shift their wieght, and let go of enjoying trivial matters such as "laughing" and the -god forbid- "having fun". So you will most likely see a 6 year old, tagging along with his joyful parent as he offers an ice-cream to him only to get rejected by a 'moody' -as he would see it- toddler, when infact, the 'moody toddler' is only trying to mantain the balance in his family that the person who is supposed to be holding is so carelessly destroying!!!! *Whew*, I am so glad we had this talk. Yours Truly, JZIAKHAN.

I see! Because the parent is not acting like one so the child has to suffer from it and act beyond his/her age. I'm also glad you've shared your opinion. Thanks!

Oh! I'm so glad you took my comment so well, I was afraid you would see me as a psychopath completely deviating from the topic you were questioning about and talking about his own personal experiences. And you actually managed to interpret what I was saying correctly! On the dot! Well done. JZIAKHAN.

I choose to grow up too, since there are a lot of stuff that children cannot do..and it is fun to grow up.. But sometimes, it would be nice to stay a child for a while, since they have less problems.. Fortunately it's impossible to stay lie peter Pan.

Wendy was right. There's a lot of serious things going on in the world, and we all have to make a contribution and work towards common goals. Not to say that there's no place for fun. But if every person in the country spent too much time playing, who would feed us, produce power, grow food, build roads, govern the country, teach in schools, make our clothes, make our toys, produce cartoons, write great books like Harry Potter, and countless other things that I can't think of right now. We would be a nation of children too busy playing to think about anything else.

We value life because everything is a one time go.every phase of life is unique in itself with its own essence .i'll prefer to grow up because life will be so monotonous if unchanged and we will never gonna understand the real meaning of it.

I don't really remember Peter Pan all that well, I saw it about 10 years ago (if it's the same one I am thinking of). But I think at some point we all have to grow up. It takes longer for some than others. In today's day and age, I feel like we are just.. thrust into the world. We have to make money, live on our own, etc. It's not so much of a choice.

There's actually two versions of the movie. The cartoon one and the live action one. I know what you mean but what if we're given the chance to choose?! Its just my idea though.

I would probably want to stay young forever. It would be nice just to stay a kid and, for the most part, still have that innocence and wonder. It would be great not to have any worries about money, jobs, or anything! On the flipside if I did stay a kid I would always wonder "gee, I would like to be an adult one day...!"

I guess that's one of the good things of staying young forever. But, as what you said there's also the phrase, "what would it be like to be an adult". We'll never know if we won't try.
