Hi rajputash and welcome to mylot!
there are various types of cooking sprays.
If you bake cakes, cookies, pies, etc you can use a flour based spray.
If you are frying, there are regular, canola oil, Olive oil, original and butter sprays.
There is even a cooking spray made specially for grilling.
A good cooking spray will aid in keeping food from sticking to the pan you are using.
I use it all the time when I cook. Especially if I am baking meat. It makes the cleanup so much easier than having to sit and scrub your pan.

cooking spray is used to grease the pan so stuff doesnt stick when cooking. It's found in the baking isle at the local grocery store i use cooking spray all the time in stead of using butter or vegetable oil to grease the pans. They say cooking spray is better. I use canonla oil cooking spray when i do cooking or baking.
