Earnings for photos?

On the photos page it now mentions that we are not compensated for photos, but I still receive earning for them today. Anyone care to explain?

Before this uploading a photo can earn. But now they seems to have new rules regarding photos...?

posting photos doesnt really help and in my opinion its just a waste of time
