Rainy season has just arrived and were experiencing our first tropical depression named "Ambo". Its raining outside right now and decided to stay home for safety reason in my place this past few days most of our main street was like a big swimming pool because of the flood. I am glad that I already went to market and grocery yesterday to buy all the food need for the whole week while still not raining.
Today my husband and I decided to stay here at home, instead of eating outside like we used to do. Since its raining today I will cook ramen or noodles with soup, dumplings and sio pao, those are the best food for us during rainy days. How about you my fellow mylotter? What are the best food for you during rainy days? Please share with us. Thank you. :)

One of the best food this rainy season is hot soups. Chicken noodle soup or sopas is the best one. Not to forget the arrozcaldo with tokwa't baboy can be great too.
Tinapa, tuyo or daing can be a best breakfast for the rainy season too.

When it rains I always get a craving for soup, stews, or chili. I'm not really sure why that is; maybe because the temperature seems to drop when it rains. It would amazing to be able to make authentic ramen noodles, but I don't live in a country where I can get the ingredients easily. I absolutely love dumplings though, so tasty. ^-^

If it's a cold rainy day any old soup will do. A nice hearty meal of any kind is good, something with biscuits and a meat, I think. I do like stews though, potato stew, beef stew, and my favorite is tortilla soup! Hot and spicy for a cold day to warm you up!

Hot and spicy foods are one of my favorite, I can eat them anytime. I love tortilla especially with sweet and spicy beef dip, I never tried tortilla soup but I am looking some recipes now so that I can try to do it one of this days. Thank you for sharing.

I like comfort foods on rainy days like meatloaf with potatos and gravy or a rich beef stew, baked chicken, or stuff like that. Then we like to sit and watch either a new release movie or an old favorite. Last week we sat through all 4 Tremor movies. We love those movies even though they are lame - lol.

I don't know how to cook but I love to eat. Hehe! =D I don't know why but my appetite/food cravings increases during rainy days. Soup is an all-time favorite during rainy days. Porridge is also great for cold weather. A hot drink with good food makes me relaxed too. Whatever food is available, I'll enjoy it. =)

Oh yes, that is the best for rainy days... when it is raining season people does love to cook meals with soup in it.. and hey we Filipinos do love a sip or two every meal, anyway.. =) It is always nice to have noodles, yes.. but i am not a fan of soup very much and i would prefer meals like adobo, kare-kare or mechado more than sinigang, or nilaga. he he

Where I live, it rains in the Winter and rain is cold. The first food we thing of when it rains are sopaipillas, a sort of fried dough with mashed cooked pumpkin. I like to have soups and broths and stews and casseroles.

Well, just like yours there, hot soup is best during rainy season. It's a pity that your streets there are flooded. Ours here, we have no flood. Yesterday, we were surprised of what we experienced, there was a sort of a whirlwind together with the heavy rains it lasted only a few minutes. I was even afraid. Good that I was home.

Yes, hot soup still the best during rainy season. Luckily I am living in the 4rd floor of our condo so even there's a flood outside I dont need to worry. Also maybe the reason why our street are flooded I think it is because of improper drainage system and garbage disposal, hope that they will fix it as soon as possible. Thank you for sharing

Beef or pork nilaga is very delicious my husband like it especially with banaba and lots of cabbage. I like pork sinigang with lots of vegetables and little bit spicy actually that was our viand yesterday afternoon. I never tried Champorado with dried fish but according to my friends it is delicious. Arroz caldo is also good, it is more delicious if you used native chicken then for the toppings you can put hard boiled eggs, spring onion, toasted garlic and slice of calamansi at the side. Yummy. Thank you for sharing. :)

I really love miso corn ramen.I usually eat that everytime we dine in a Japanese restaurant. Good thing, my wife already mastered the recipe and there is always a reason to stay at home when it rains. I can say that any food can be more delicious when it is prepared with love.

I want some sweet cake in rainy days. And youguat is alse a good choose. When raining outside, I feel I was the only one staying in the world. And if there was some food I like putting beside my hands, I think I was the happiest girl in the world.
