Hi everyone, Yesterday i received the "Animal times" magazine of PETA, where i was shocked reading a news and the photo attached. It was that thousand of birds like pigeons, crows, owls, kites and other birds have been injured or killed by MANJA, which is typically gummed and coated with powdered and finally crushed glass (commonly used in kite-flying competition). Such competition is already banned in Punjab Pradesh of Pakistan. Later i watched a video in youtube which has made me totally upset after watching such victims in Gujrat(India). The link is provided here. So, do you wish to kill birds/animals for your entertainment and satisfaction? What you wish to say about this. Please watch and share your views. Thanks.

Hi,
I don't watch the video you attached. I don't want to watch, I just cannot stand watching cruelty, so I decided not to watch.
I agree with you. They are not to kill for people's entertainment. I sometimes wonder why people don't put their position on others' shoes. Feel what others' feel. By others, I mean, all beings : fellow human beings and animals and all the beings in this world.
Every being has his right to live. So, just let him live..

Hmmm... it is really pathetic to watch for all those animal/bird lover. We have to work for all these, hence need to watch.
yeah, all have their individual life. We human have no right to play with other's lives. Why we still say ourselves as human when we dont know the real, meaning of humanity. Just strange.
I appreciate your way of thinking. Have a nice time.

Hi amigo!
I watched the video you've provided, though I don't understand what it is saying, the description pointed out its meaning. I pity the birds.
I don't think it is a complete happiness when somebody or something will get hurt. They are all even smiling there,oh my!

Correct, they are not supposed to be killed for your entertainment, but for some jackas* with fire arms, these animals are there for them to practice their target shooting and continue their western tradition of hunting as sport. Go figure it out yourself why these jerks are behaving in such a way in western society.

Hi lamper...
I dont know why they behave that way and governments openly support them even there are some places where free hunting is available for money. Here in my country, wildlife hunting is banned still people hunt. sometimes they get arrested and sometimes not.
have a nice time.

Here i have written about a barbaric culture where birds are tortured many ways. Those culture which has no moral value even harmful to nature should be banned. I dont find any reason except the ultimate cruelty of human.
I dont think that over population of a certain creature is a threaten to human. WE already occupied their area, so they are trying to come out and people or government think that they are over populated and should kill. What a rubbish idea it is?
take care.

That is not intentional-but sorry to hear about this.
We also have kite festival here in our country- but nothing happens like in your place.
Maybe they should fly kites in places where there are no birds flying around to avoid such incident.

Although it is not intentional, they can collect the threads which are hanged on towers, trees, posts and everywhere so that not a single bird can get hurt or die. Right? as the entertainment is important, later actions also important. It is also possible to fly kites on open field. This is not in my place, i live in completely east of India and the video is located on completely west.
have a nice time didi.

Here, a festival called "bulbul fighting" is celebrated on january and people enjoy it where as those birds suffer a lot. I posted a discussion in this issue. I shall provide you the link later. Just minutes ago, i have watched a video of PETA which was unable to me to watch earlier for my poor connection. Here is the link to that video.http://www.peta.org/tv/videos/celebrities-vegetarianism/86975251001.aspx Hope you will give a look.
I love birds and as an animal activist, i feel it as my utmost important duty to save the nature and it's inhabitants. Thanks for your concern about nature.

I don't like it when people say "we" lost our humanity. If you could stand and watch and animal suffer you are less than human in my opinion. There are many people who don't do these kinds of things. The kinds of people who do these things to animals are in my opinion without empathy and have no soul. Good luck to them, I feel sorry for them. They will get what is coming to them, in this life or the next.
I cannot watch your video as I won't be able to sleep. I get very upset when I see things like that and get physically sick. I am a member of P.E.T.A. and do my small part by not purchasing any product that was tested on animals etc. I ordered their kit that comes with pamphlets that you take to the store with you. It lists all the companies that do and don't use animals in testing. They send you this free and I sent them a donation in return through Paypal.

Well said friend, they have neither soul nor heart who can easily watch an animal or bird in torture or sometimes they abuse them. Straight to so inhumane, heartless and foolish people.
Nice to meet another member of PETA, i am also a member of PETA and my mylot earnings goes to PETA as donation. Then send me petition when issue arises and i promptly send it to them for quick action.
have a nice time.

My husband turned on Animal Planet the other night. It started showing and talking about ocean's waves. I asked him if we had to sit and watch a bunch of waves for an hour. But then the story turned to whales. Specifically, a pod of killer whales going after a mother gray whale and her baby. They went after the pair until the baby tired from swimming and then worked their way in between the mother and baby. It was terrible to watch such a scene. I admit it was facinating but I felt really bad for the gray whales and pissed off at the killer whales. I really don't need to see this stuff. Sure, it is interesting to know how other species live and survive, but I don't want to see it this way.
Last year I watched as a big black bird attacked the nest of morning doves in the tree in our backyard. I yelled at the bird who took off with an egg in its mouth. A morning dove and blue jay chased after the black bird but I was saddened to witness this. Likewise we had to scare off some black bird chasing after an owl who was hanging out in the trees. This year? The black birds have taken over. We see no other species of birds around.
I just finished reading Jodi Picoult's book "Lone Wolf". Within the story of a broken family was the story of wolf packs and how they think and live. It was very interesting and very little to be disgusted about.

Hi Patgalca...
It is called biological circle. Yesterday, i was watching NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC where i saw a big black snake was eating an another snake. Both snakes were same in size where anyone can get surprised.
There are some birds having abnormal behavior like your mentioned black bird. It never eats other birds but eats eggs. They are envious and very cruel and always prefer dictatorial power.
have a nice time.

I also think it is not good to kill animals and birds for entertainment. I think there should be serious rules against the animals and birds abuse and the people who did should be punished. I think such thing should not be allowed and should be banned.

Hi ajithlal...
In india, there are serious rules (like to mention the veteran actor Saif ali Khan and Salman khan was accused in killing a black antelope) but what about them who are killing birds and animals for their entertainment? So rude.
Have a nice time.

I totally agree with you that birds or animals are not to be killed for entertainment. They are living creatures that we should well protect. If it is used for entertainment, it is really a very cruel behavior. I wish people would be more aware of the protection of animals.

I like animals and I do not think animals should be killed for sport. The only time to kill an animal is considered as being danger to you as an attack, or for food purpose.. that is how I fell about it.

That is awful. People are always trying to kill something for their entertainment. It really is sad. Harming animals is not right at all. People who do things like that should get in serious trouble.

Very sad. Shame. Killing nature for something stupid. It's just like that country where they kill dolphins as a sign of being a man. I hate it. I also hate hunters in Greece that say we love nature. If you love it how can you kill an animal for fun?
