Today I was sitting a playing a game when suddenly an unexpected quote got me thinking that you can find some interesting philosophical and deep thought at the most unusual places, like a video game or say,a comic book.It just really surprised me and I was wondering whether any of my fellow MyLotters have come across such similar cases, like, for example, hearing a child saying something honest that has got you thinking for hours or reading a quote, scribbled on a wall that has incredible depth and understanding of things?

Hi @ShadowSky!
Yes, there are many quotes that often made me think and reflect for a moment. These thoughts I mostly read in social networking sites and from Reader's Digest. Usually quotes about life and relationships makes me stop and ponder about it. I believe that they help me shape me as a person too. Like this quote "True security lies not on the things one has but on the things one can do without." This quote made a profound impact on my life. After reading this I realized that I can only be truly secure myself if I learned to be contented of the blessings that I received and that all the materials things that I long for will just be passing and that they don't really matter. What is important is that I learn to recognize and be thankful for the blessings especially the blessings of good relationships because this is what matters most to me and what makes me happiest.

Yes I have had that happen numerous times. It is wonderful when it does. Sometimes what happens that something happens or someone says something that is very deep if you take it a different way or use it as an analogy for something else.

Children and kids are honest in their thoughts and more kind of pure. They dont go by inhibitions or what the society thinks... so many a times they do come up with actions or words which make us go thinking...
I have a nephew (brother's son) who always gets me puzzled with his words or even actions - for one, why do all games end with only one team winning... cant they decide that both the players are all okay?
