I have finally changed my Avatar as suggested by one of good friends here. Would it be safe if we will not post our real pictures? As I have noticed, most of myLotters don't use their photo. Or have i misunderstood the meaning of Avatar?

I think that we could post our real photographs. Years ago, people were more relunctant to do so, but the online life has become such a part of our culture, that that is less a fear today.
I used to have a friend on here, polachicago, who advised against posting our entire faces due to identify theft associated with facial recognition. I think that that is something to consider.

I probably wont upload real pics then. I have thought about that theft on our identity too, because, the way I see it, people can access our profile any minute, unlike other social networking, we can set our security settings. I think they should work on that too here.

hello again vanate29! i don't use my real photo here or on facebook anymore because i just think it is fun to find images that i like to "represent" me so to speak...such as interests that i have, or moods that i may experience....it is like acting, in a way, in an avatar, you can be anyone!

Yes, vanate29, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of security on here.
Hello again, psycho. You make a good point about being able to represent ourselves. Haha. Funny. "Represent" (I'm being gangsta).
