If you had some extra money to use what would you do for YOURSELF?

We often think about doing things for others. Whether it's family or friends. We want to make their life better and help them out when we can. I have recently thought about this question and really can't seem to think of what is something that I would really enjoy doing for myself. I don't seem to know anymore what I could do for myself that is something I'm interested in.

If I have extra money I will invest in gold, silver, real estate and stock market, and I will be patient, and I will wait until harvest.

Yeah a lot of people enjoy investing their money into those types of things. I hope that you will be able to see your money grow over time. After all it is great when our money grows like that. It's a good thing for us to have some type of savings or investings.

I would invest it if have some extra money. Then I would use the profits to buy things I want. But if you said it was a huge amount, then I'd say I would travel and maybe take a business degree :))

Yeah it is so much fun to travel. I'm hoping that my husband and I will be able to save more money so that we can take a trip at least once a year. I don't expect us to do something really big each year just some type of trip as a couple and as a family. So I've decided that if those are things that I want then I need to work towards them.

I know what I would do for myself if I had extra money; I would wipeout all my remaining debt and then take a trip to India to visit an old friend. I would make myself worry-free and finally take that trip that has been on my bucket list for ages. It's so nice to dream!

I hope that you will be able to get rid of that debt you have. Like WakeupKitty said make that dream come true. We need to do things that we enjoy. And if we keep our life simple in most areas of our life we can be amazed at how much money we can save. Then we can use that saved money for bigger things we would like to do. Sacrifice small things so that we can do bigger things later.

I wonder why you don't make this dream come true? The dream or wish is not big enough? In ages it must be possible to save a bit, even if it is only a few cents a day. Instead of making more debts reduce them and get rid of them must be possible too if you make a good plan/scedule and stick to it. In the end we need way less as we think we do. I have been there many times before and always found a way out.

If I had some extra money I would spend it on a trip to a place where I had never been before. If it was a relatively small amount of money I would find a nice place to visit in my own country maybe one of the small islands that I haven't visited yet. If I had enough money to visit another country I would do that. I would visit one of the countries in Europe where I haven't been yet for instanse Slovenia, Croatia, Portugal or Ukraine. I would spend the days on sightseeing and in the evenings I would find a nice restaurant and enjoy some of the local food that isn't available in my own country.

It would be nice to travel some place I haven't been. There are a lot of places I haven't been too. I hope that you will be able to do those things when you have the money too. I'm hoping to have my husband and I take a trip each year. Nothing necessarily extravagant. I just want us to get in a habit of having a vacation each year. Because for the last three years we haven't taken any trips.

I love to take a bath. Immersing my body in hot, sudsy water takes all of the tension out of me. But, I haven't had a bath in 10 years! I live alone and I have major, multiple back problems. I am incapable of lifting myself out of the tub. I need a tub lift. This is a mechanical device I sit on which will lower me into the water and bring me back up. It costs about $6,ooo. This is what I would buy for myself.

I really do miss taking a bubble bath. In our home we only have a shower and no tub. It's amazing how much you miss them when you don't have one. I'm sorry to hear that you have health problems that limits you from taking a bath. Everything cost so much money it really is sad. I hope that you are saving so that you will be able to get yourself one of those mechanical devices.

I too think that traveling is fun. I hope that my husband and I will be able to save to go on a cruise together and then after that sometime go on a family cruise. I think it would be so neat to see different places. And a cruise for us offers the best packages for the best prices.

I know when I have extra money I often think of what type of trip we can go on. We don't too often go on vacation or take trips but I'm hoping that once a year we will be able to do something. It doesn't have to be anything or anywhere extravagant but as long as we do something. I completely agree with you.

Yeah I agree with you that debt is a killer. We are in debt and probably about to be in a lot more if my husband is able to get this loan for his business. It would be nice to be able to get things without having to use credit or a loan. It will be nice when we are out of debt.

If I had extra money, I would buy some very expensive shoes, and get some very good decoration.I might also have a one-off dinner at a five-star hotel. However, I would use rest of the amount judiciously and not go berserk about spending.

Yeah it's nice when we can treat ourselves to things we enjoy. After we are able to treat ourselves we also should set aside money for savings. My husband and I will be going out of town and since we have spent a lot of money on our trip it has been necessary for me to keep things simple with other purchases lately.

If I had some extra money I would do something nice for my wife. It's been awhile since I could afford to get her anything.

That's really nice that you have thought to get your wife something. It is a great thing when we are able to get things for our spouse. Since we appreciate all that they do. I hope that soon you will be able to have extra money to buy your wife something nice.

Recently I've been spending a lot of my extra money on tattoos or piercings because I've had a lot planned and I really enjoy getting them because I love seeing my ideas unfold and having them on my skin. Other things I like to spend my extra money on include supplements and vitamins. I want to get together enough extra money to be able to get a treatment from my ayurvedic doctor called Shirodhara. In the future I would also like to start buying some effects for guitar and bass but right now I have to try and save a good amount of my money for college and for moving once I transfer to the new college I am going too. One other thing I like to buy with extra money is extra food that I wouldn't be able to buy with my regular budget, such as extra vegetables and fruits that wouldn't normally fit into my budget.

Yeah we are often able to think of many things that we would like to do with our extra money. Which then leads to our extra money being spent fast or set aside for something we have already thought about doing. Buying some effects for guitar and bass would be neat. My husband likes to play guitar. He has an acoustic and an electric one. He really could use a new one. We had some work done on it and it just seems that it doesn't sound like it is suppose to. So I'm hoping to save up some money to buy him another one. A surprise gift I'm sure that he will love.

It is good to use extra money to invest in ourselves. To further our education and help us with our current work or our future work. Using our money like that is such a good thing. It really does benefit us now and in the future.

When I have extra cash I always want to invest it in treasury bond to make them increase. If I must decide what to do with them for myself I think I would plan a trip somewhere, probably in this moment I'd like to go to the sea in South Albania with my girlfriend.

I think that planning a trip is a great thing. I'm hoping to save for a cruise in a few years.I would like to go on a cruise with my husband somewhere and see a new place. So if I start saving we should be able to take one in a few years.

It is a good thing for us to donate money. As there are a lot of individuals including children who don't have the necessities to take care of themselves and their life. Often times a little bit goes a long way. We should help others when we can.

Sorry but helping out your family/friends is NOT doing something for yourself! And this is exactly what life is about and what most people can't: do something for yourself. If it's enough I will leave, that is for sure.

Yeah it is important for us to do things that we enjoy for ourselves. I'm working on doing things that I like and enjoy. I agree with you that doing things for our family or friends isn't doing something for ourselves as individuals. So I hope that in time I will have a lot of different ideas of things that I want to and will save up the money to see different places that I would like to visit.

There are a lot of things that comes my mind. If I do really have some extra money. I would love to travel. To ride on a plane-- because I have not ride on it since then. I want to go to Italy because my best friend is there. I want to eat those foods that I still have not tasted. Hmm.. If you can't think about what you are interested in. Just try to think if you also like my desires in life. Or if you don't like it, you can imagine anything you want to. It's free..

I think it would be nice to travel as well. It would be great if it didn't cost so much to see different places. I think if I had enough money I would like to go somewhere new and different. I love to eat so tasting unique foods would be enjoyable as well.
