my sister is a newbie on internet. for 3 months now she is on chat,3 times she almost dealt with some scammer. I am using internet longer than her but sometimes I am not aware of recent form of scamming. I help her talk with people for she is hoping she may have a good partner online. For 3 times she dealt with someone I found out they were scammers, just searching on the time of emails they send to my sister. Anybody here who was a victim of scam? And if someone ask for your details in borrowing or loan online,is it legit? How do they use your detail, or how do they benefit from ur detail if they are not asking money? when i got home from abroad 9 years ago I received a text saying i won, clueless,I was out of the country for a longer period of time, I bit it and was told to send them prepaid card numbers, so I bought like 10 of those worth $10.00 per card, then no further instructions had said, that was foolish I know hehe

There are so much reason to do it, whether they want to get something from you straightly or from the third party. Once they have all information about you, they will use it or sell it to the third party.

Spam offers etc occurs regardless of who your provider is, unfortunately. Spammers get email addresses a variety of ways as there have the ebility, so you can pretty much assume your address was generated. The only way to stop spam is not get on the internet as you have less knowledge about it, that way you won't see it.You can use the internet for any other entertainment or social reasons. No you tell her

Trusting people on the Internet just in general can really be one of the more risky things that someone can do. Too much deception and falsehoods with people trying to trick and swindle anyone out of their money, for a quick buck and an easy ride right through the Internet. That is to say, when money is involved, things tend to be a bit more sketchy. I really absolutely don't like to allow personal information to transfer online. If I want to deal with someone, I make sure that they are legit and I do it face by face. It is very easy for someone to rather pose as someone. There have been many schemes where those individuals online have used the name of reputable companies to clean out people. So yeah, scammers are everywhere and they are many. And their tricks can be devious.

Hi luisa, I would advise your sister this: if it looks like a duck and quack like a duck, 99% of the time its a duck....also if it sounds like its too good to be true most likely its not.... I never give any personal information to anyone asking for it on the internet....Why would I do that... If I have won something for nothing, then just send it to me for nothing... Good luck to your sister..... NO I HAVE NEVER BEEN SCAMMED

So many scammers in this world, for me I met them on website and life of reality, wow so colourful! I got some lessons and have a simple principle of facing them, just SAY NO whenever they want to ask for money. As for love, that only depend on our feelings, even the sixth sense, does he/she really love you? DO your feelings tell you that is true? Of course for luisaR`s sister maybe not easy, for I think she is a young girl. Anyhow, tell her about the trick which scammers usually do and how bad they are.
