153 passengers feared killed in a Nigerian plane crash in Lagos

I saw this news on the Indian news channel, there was a Indian also, actually he was co-pilot of that plane. very bad news and yes this incidents tells us enjoy our life every time and every seconds.

it is a very bad news.Nowadays accidents are increasing especially airplane crashes.Dont know why.Any way may the god bless their souls and let's pray for them.And also for their relatives to reduce the pain by their separation.

THis is such a tragic thing and my heart goes out to all the bereaved family members.Till a few years ago , my sister-in-law's husband was posted at Lagos.I guess they would know what plane this is .

I just read that news, it is truly a big disaster. However i don't understand people in there, they are too curious and go to there to see what happened so that it is really hard for rescuing as well as accident checking. It is so bad. I pray for them..

You're right. Nobody knows the future and also when something is going to happen. Therefore, the things of this world are not the most important in life, e.g. wealth, fame, honors, pleasures ephemeral, etc. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. So is written.

Being a Nigeria, I know what is happening in my country. It is unfortunate for this to happen in a week filled with a lot of blood shed. The airline was DANA air, a privately owned company that started operation 2008. The said crashed airline was 22 years old. Bought from Alaska airline under a not good condition, it was flown in Nigeria. The flight took of from Abuja, Nigerian Capital heading to Lagos before the pilot who is an American and co-pilot being an Indian raised the emergency alarm. The plane was given 11 nautical mile to land but it landed on 4 nautical mile after some time of dangling in the area of crash Engine failure has also be said to a major factor to the crash. The plane went to Iju neighbourhood and crashed in a residential area, killing the 147 passengers and 6 crew members as well as close 20 residents on ground. There was a lot security lapses from the necessary authority. Effort by safety managers was not really easy as on-lookers hindered easy access to the site of the crash. The black box has been recovered and I believe full information will be made known to the public. Sad day in Nigeria as the President Goodluck Jonathan declared 3-days of national mourning. May the souls of the crashed victims rest in peace.

I completely agree with you. Our life can be gone before we know it. Life truly is precious. Whether we are rich or poor we should pursue goals and other activities that show what is really valuable in life.

This is one reason I wont fly, I am affraid of the plane crashing. This is a terrible accident and I give condollence to all the families. Some planes in the sky today are very old and not worthy in my eyes to even be in the sky. Unfortunately, air travel is a big thing and these tragedies do happen. May God bless their souls and I pray for them. My heart goes out to them.
