...how original can you get?

This is my current writing dilemma. I cannot think anymore of writing anything 'original' for every batch few articles that I'm suuppsoed to write. I think my supply of creative juices is already dried up and I really can't see ay new perspective. Perhaps, it is because of tiredness or beating the damned deadline. Anyway, I'm really stuck. maybe because it's hard to write anything original anymore. How do you express originality in your writings?

I express originality by writing from my unique perspective and point of view or looking at things from a different angle. Sometimes you may need a rest. One can't be original if they do nothing new. Go for a long walk where there are lots of people or there are no people, actually do both. Bring a portable tape recorder and as new ideas come into your head, record them quickly with all the details that come. I also think, it is hard to be creative when under pressure. All the best!

One can't be original if they do nothing new hard to be creative when under pressure I love these lines. I guess a rest is definitely in order but the tine constraint might not permit it. So I am trying to make things run as smoothly as possible but still be able to deliver without sacrificing quality. The only thing that I observed is that people expect quality and quantity in sometimes impossible situations. Or maybe I'm not that just kind of writer.

When I feel dried up of creativity, I try to take a break and gather ideas. I get a lot of ideas from dreams and reading books, but I typically write fiction. Maybe you could find more ideas by looking at the things that you do daily and identifying which one of those things may have an eager market you could write for. I don't think it's nearly as important to be original as it is to be fresh and to say something new on the matter in your own words.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely look into it. I guess that what is everybody is looking for - freshness and not necessary original. I guess I need to have some new perspective to think about. Thanks for the tips!

When i travel, i do about three to four times a year. I actually try to incorporate it into my writing articles. I usually write about travel experiences and places and what not. I try to pick up some articles or a book or something when im traveling and i read that and then i use some stuff from the books with my own flare to them. its easier to do this i think than having to think of ideas to write about. I have so many articles right not i could be writing but when i get home from my full time job around 5:00 i dont even want to sit in front of another computer and type up an article but i would love to start doing more and getting more money for submitting my articles online.

We're in the same situation - trying to balance life offline and online. As much as I wanted to write, the activity is so exhausting and draining sometimes. Of course, it a certain sense of fulfillment. I also do yuor technique of incorporating but sometimes, my exhausting mind is too tired. Just the need for relaxation is in order.

I write based from my experience. So more or less I know that what I am writing is a first hand information. If ever I got similar experience from others, at least I know that I have written it based on my personal knowledge with honesty. So far I never encounter such problem yet.

Also, another good option. But you also stated also the implications of using experience. IO guess in a sense,. we sometimes have similar experiences and situations. Surely, it is not plagiarism but a third party might consider it as such. But the again, experience as a source of information also have ever failed me yet.

Here is a suggestion for you if you cannot find anything to write about. Pick a category and look for TOPICS and pick a title from there. Change the title a little and the content, which must reflect the same information, and write a more full blown article. Don't ever copy and paste. You express originality by having a variety of articles in your arsenal.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will note this if the similar situation arose again.

Always i am getting ideas to create my articles from my day to day activities and my own experiences. I am interested in giving my original creativity and sharing my knowledge with my readers and others. First of all we must select a topic for our blog and think a while about it, surely we will get ideas to write our article and give it in an interactive manner based on our experience. Since online world is having lot of scammers, cheat and copy cat persons we must be careful about our articles. Today i got message from an article writing site admin stated that my article is deleted due to it is find as an copied content. But my article is a real one and i am the real author of it. In fact i am writing articles in various site and sharing my own and real life experiences. I checked the link provided by him and shocked. Some person copied my article from that site and placed it as his own one. I wonder why some people is doing this kind of things. The article sites must protect our articles and don't allow others to copy it. I am member of a social site called Mypage5, We must use our real photo as our profile photo there and this site is having a great security, whereas we don't have the ability to save the images. If we tried to save other persons image, we will get a warning message like, you don't have the permission to save others image. In the same way article sites must use the secured version of our articles and don't allow others to copy our things for our article protection.

Well, it is good that tor you find ideas for your writing every day. For me, some days, I just draw completely blank. Some days, I have too many ideas that I don’t know where to begin. I guess it depends on my mood and my environment. You are right that many people are now scamming other people and won’t even blink an eyelash to do it. It is also hard to publish original content these days since the Internet is so wide that you might not know that you might have copied one way or another someone else’s work. The same kinda happened to me. Thanks for endorsing your site. I will look at it when I have the time.

sounds like you need to take a rest and walk away from this project for a bit. i usually allow myself lots of time, especially if it is on a subject that i don't know much about. maybe you could visit your local library. i always get good ideas from there.

I think all you need is a little break form it all for you to be able to replenish all those lost energy. I think you are right about fatigue. You are just plain tired, so a good rest should clear those cobwebs of the mind.

Hi! I think you must exhausted and need a break from it! Happens when you have been keeping a tight schedule for some time. Just take break and i am sure you will be back to normal!! Honestly speaking, how original can one be? I mean in the end it all boils down the same ideas just expressed differently! Its one of the things which i don't get when people say it has to be original! There always going to be people who have already touched this or that aspect of something so the most one can do is just polish it up or expound some notion when it hasn't been before! but coming back to your dilema, take break! Relax!

I was drawn to your title because it is also one of my problems in creating ideas for a new discussion. I was actually hoping that you are sharing tips but its just my wish though. Every time i come up with something, someone already has the same or almost the same discussion posted a while back. Its hard creating original topics nowadays!

we're both in the same boat the. When, I do know some tips but sometimes, they too get overused and get so 'unoriginal.' Sometimes. it is just depressing that the idea you thought of as great is already in existence and you cannot think of anything more. It's kinda a stuck reality.

Sometimes desrciptive writing can come from within. Your experience with the subject, your frustrations, even your hang-ups can get those juices flowing. Look beyond the blah-blah-blah and tell it the way you think is best to desribe it. Even satire it first if that helps, make fun of the subject, rant ,what ever until you modify the article into what you want it to be. be critical with every line like a critic and shoot for what you would want to read! good luck getting those writing juices flowing again. Take a deep breath and start new. Blow the roof of the mission and head for the next!
