Last night, after cooking, i put a bow of fish on a table when bring a electricity socket and something to my room. when i went back to take a bow, i saw a mother cat are eating it... Grrr, i was so angry...i catch the cat and beat 1 slap on her hip...
She did meowing out loud...and then she runs out of a door...Hmm, i was still angry and i told her that: go and no food for you more...She saw me and then run.
I feed Noo, kittens and leave food on her bowl also. But since i still stood in there, she didn't dare to get in the room to eat...she lay on a balcony ...to see me only...
I stayed in my room for a while and then go to that room to see them. She ate all food that i left to her bowl and she is breastfeeding her kittens. She wanna run again when seeing me, but i call...meo meo...with sweet voice...she still scares, i think, but she doesn't run more...See her, i pity her...

What happened was your fault and not the cat's fault. If you felt the need to slap anyone or anything you should have slapped yourself for being so foolish as to leave a bowl of fish unattended when there was a cat in the house. I have seven cats in my house and quite often, if I leave the table to answer the telephone or the door or to do something else, I will find one or more of them on the table munching on my food. Do I punish them??? Hell, no...they need to eat too. I just sit down and eat right along with them.

Oh, i love cats, but i don't like that bad manner: steal food on my table. They need to be trained and know to wait also.
My cat Noo, she never dares touch to food when i leave there, she just sits nearby and sees it only. And she just eats food on her bowl only also. I did train her like that. But i am not the owner of a mother cat, so that she never learn lessons, i think. From right now i will be strict to her more and hope she will have a nice manner as my cat does.

My mother told me that a cat who isn't hungry would never steal food on the table. That's why when we had cats before, she made sure they were properly fed. NOt a single one of them dared to steal food on our table.

No idea how many times she fed them and no they were never obese. They were well taken care of and none of them were stray. Quite disciplined cats. It's not the cat's nature to steal food. They do that when they're not satisfied with what people give them or when they've experienced hunger.

Long time before, i did care a cat named Cesar, he has a good manner also. When i say No, he understands and be silent to wait. I leave food on table but he just sit nearby and see it only even though he is hungry. When i allow him eat, he eats.
I really love him with that good manner.

Ya, i know...they always wants to steal food on the table...However, i did train my cat, Noo, she just sits near there to see food only if i haven't allowed her eat yet. My previous cat, Cesar did the same.
but the mother cat, she is not my cat..i feed her and her kittens since they stay in my house only. I don't think they will move to another place, so that from now i will be strict to her, i really don't like that bad manner.

Sorry to hear a cat stole your fish like this. It is not good when something like this happens. Sounds like you will need to regain their trust again before they will trust you, but since you are always the one feeding them, in time it will happened again.

Ryanong, cat is a very naughty creature. When i was still at my parents home, we do feed a few cats at home. But, we always make sure that certain areas in our home are not allow for them to enter. Especially the kitchen and all the bedrooms. Because they are naughty and will tends to disturb and even eat anything which they seems interest to eat especially fish. That's why, whenever i fried or cook fish at that time, i always make sure that i cover that fish and close the kitchen door and window, before i left the kitchen. Because i know cat likes to eat fish.

hihihi, you are right, all them are naughty and love fishes....
Currently i can't cover all cats, especially the mother cat...but i will be careful with them whenever i cook fish, i will bring it all and don't leave it in the kitten when i am not in there.
You know, they always do meowing out loud when they smell fish that i am cooking...

I would also react the same as you ryanong, if that happens to me. Sorry for the cat, but i would really slap her so she would learn a lesso.
So you see, the cat did learn a lesson, she was afraid of you.

I would be angry too if I am On the same shoe. In our case, the cats from the nearby neighbor do the same thing that my dad cooked but the cat immediately run away as it get the fish so my dad cant do anything about it.

Ya, my cat, Noo never do like that if i don't allow her eat..because i did train her...but that mother cat...grrrr she is very insolent. From now, i will be strict to her....If she does it one more time, i will slap her hip 2-3 times, not only 1 times as the last time.
