is it okay for girls to do the first move?

im a man but my stand to this , maybe i think so because lot of the girls out there have more confidence than us so why not.. and what a great info.. i like 2ne1 they are one of my favorite group in korea..

In general, that is the concept in your country that men should make the first move however, there is a saying that "in every rule there is always an exception." So this is an exception to the rule. If the girl sensed that the guy also likes her then why not make the first move. There might be several situations like this that happened in your country. However, nowadays, society is becoming more lenient. There are girls now who are making the first moves even if guys doesn't like them. Here comes the problem. It might end up for the guy to take advantage of the girl concerned. There are guys like that, even if they don't like the girl they will take the girl and abuse her. Well, a girl should see to it that the guy likes her before she makes the first move.

A common worldwide sayings "If a Man can do, the Woman also can" and if same s3x marriage is allowed worldwide, therefore, it is also normal for a woman to do first move.

Yea.I guess it is okay for girls to make a move.But some guys might not like it.

I think there is nothing wrong if the girl made the first move. If the girl can carry the situations, why not? But in some culture it is not a modest way for a girl to do that. A man can be turned of to a woman who is so aggressive. Making the first move shows that a girl is aggressive. So a girl who is planning to do the first move must consider all these consequences. Still, many men prefer a girl who can wait until they say what they feel for her.

I love 2ne1!! I honestly don't understand why it would be considered inappropriate for a girl to be the one making the first move when it comes to the possible start of a relationship. If the girl can tell that the guy likes her, but he's too shy to admit it..I do believe that I would also make the first more in that situation.

It doesn't matter who makes the first move!!! I think I did when I was dating my hubby lol. Someone has to do it :)

As for me and i'm a grown up.It is certainly ok and should be encouraged to get the one that you really like,relationship is really different and we should learn to get the opportunity so as to get the happiness. I'll definitely not wait,just good luck.

Hi effinmuffin! I think, girls can possibly make the first move. We have equal rights and obligations. I believe, it goes without saying that courting is one of those right or privilege given to anyone regardless of the gender. Who knows, that guy could be your future husband or your knight in shining armor or can also be your soulmate. We may not know what we are missing. This is from my own point of view.

I will do the same. You should be the one to create your own destiny and not the other way around. And besides, there's already the fact that we both like each other right? There are some guys who needs a little push from us to make everything work out. There's really no harm in making the first move as long as you know yourself and the limits. I also came from a conservative country and we also have that belief that guys should make the first move but its different now. Its already the 21st century! Anyway, its my own opinion though! :)

I don't understand what is wrong with girl making the first move. Of course it is appropriate the boy to make the first move but if the boy you like is too shy although he feels the same way why not tell him how do you feel instead?

ROFL, i see myself in this situation. It happened to me where the girl do the first move (but i don't like to continue my story about this one), maybe just like what you said the boy is just afraid, afraid of being rejected just like me before.

IF the guy doesnt confront the gal of his feelings towards her, then he doesnt deserve her because if he really loves the girl he would make at least a little effort to relieve the gal's confused feelings
