Hello my fellow mylotters,
I just want to know if you ever felt like what I'm feeling right now and most of the time.
I shed a tears and feeling sad to some topics and discussions I read for some reason. For instance a topic regarding unhappy marriage, lacking of budget to spend for something though it was just a small amount.A topic regarding passing away of loveones. Poverty and even those suffering from diseases.Inside of me, I wish I can help, I wish I can do something for those people suffering from this kind of situations.
Why I'm feeling this way?Am I being emotional or what? I cannot help but to think of those people around me.I don't want to feel this way too but... no way to ignore them.
I'm getting emotional reading topics like those I've stated above.Have you ever shed a tears or touch your hearts reading those kind of discussions.?
I'd love to hear from you.. Thanks in advance!! Happy myLotting everyon!

No It's completely normal and okay to feel this way. I feel this way about people's discussions quite a lot. Sometimes I read them or start to read them and either can't finish it because it's too sad or don't reply because I'm not sure what to say to them.

Yes, there are a lot of topics on this website that really can delve right into the realm of quite uncomfortable reading. I get the need to want to vent on this website, because hey, I need to vent sometimes as well. However, there are times where I just want to go on here, have a bit of enjoyment, have some fun and I read that.
It really can smack right back to reality to see a lot of the problems and really, kudos to these people for having the nerve to open up for such problems. Especially on the Internet, where it can open yourself up for ridicule. Granted myLot is one of the kinder communities online, but still, it does take something special to really post something like that. I try to not go into those topics but it is like a car crash, you are tempted to look.

The answer is yes. Very much so if topics are personal and about peoples life’s. It makes me think of how there are serious obstacles are for people in comparison to mine and if I read courage in them it does give me strength.
Unfortunately, reading about topics can also effect me emotionally in a way I can no longer deal with and then realize it is best for me to search out other topics that might empower me in a different way.
Though I would like to help others sometimes I am the one in need of assistance even though my current issues are not as bad as some.

I have done it a few times. I think it is human nature to feel that way especially when you are in situation that you cannot help. There is one discussion that I remember I read and I could not hold back my tears.

you are the very kind heart young woman. I told by some body that this world is not good for average peoples to live and life except they have to work and sometime beyond their ability and not sufficient for their minimal needs. competitions and consumptions makes people's greed so that right is only a word which every one have to strive for it even not seldom fail. it also occur in family life where people then regret found their spouse. take advantage is the prime formula to survive. Poverty, suffering, illness etc is routine and it is like your every day life, no sad feeling, wound is wound, pain is pain as routine. perhaps this soul is different with your soul they don't have heart to feel their nervous system was already damage. God blessing you !

Well, all of us are emotional. It depends to the topic I guess. I did not feel that kind of emotion every time I am here on myLot. The reason is I choose a different discussion topic that would not cause me to become emotional, because I do not want to feel that way

Though i've felt bad about what i'm reading from the topic sometimes, I never shed a tear. I think i've shed too many tears in the past i don't have more to shed on mylot.
It's unavoidable sometimes especially to those who are emotional and sensitive.

I feel very upset for people when I cannot help them also. It makes me sad and makes me wish they were my friends so we could talk face to face and so I could offer a hug.
But then I remember that it is important for people to talk, and some people find it easier to talk to strangers, so we are actually doing are bit by replying to them on mylot.

That is what me and many of the friends here are doing in mylot. This brings a bond between us. We feel for those who are suffering. I do that and I would try to help them as much as possible. But in financial way it is hard for me to help right now. In other ways I would give solutions to them. As most of us feeling for others suffering, still the world has humanity.

U are so sensitive and way too emotional. But then again, it's normal of us to feel that way. It's good in a way because it shows we have feelings, we care for those around us If we simply dun care, ignore or even humiliate people in such situations, it goes to show how selfish we are At times, i do feel the same way like u, just that i chose to hide it, laughing it off, but not using them as a joke

i do the same at times and try to read fun things for a while and stay away from the sad on everything. its a way you get depressed if you arent careful about that. so you could be getting a bit depressed.

Hi cloud: This just tells me you must be a really good heart person that feels emotional when you know about the pain of people around you. I think this is positive, specially when we live in a selfish world. It's nice to know people around us that care about the feelings of the others.

it is natural to become emotional on reading such topics as one suffering from disease or unhappy marriage. it is better to cry out and shed tears so that we can be normal afterwards. pl post topics wherein I may not get tears.

I think only you can answer this question. Why are some people crying if they watch a soap, or hear the news or read a book? I don't think it has anything to do with being too emotional. It has to do partly with the mood you are in (so you choose to read these kind of discussions) and partly with the kind of person you are (caring).

Well first off don't feel to bad:) We all, well at least myself sometimes get into a mood where I tend to focus on negative things. I think that it's normal every now and then to focus on these things.
I think that just like how a dream clears you're subconscious mind, once in a while we have to purge our emotions to sort of find balance and reset.
I don't know if that makes sense, but thats my answer)
