Bedtime Problem: I can't sleep

school vacation is running out too fast and I am used to stay awake till early morning surfing the internet, enjoying here in mylot, and many such things that I can not do when schooling. Now that the new school year is fast approaching, I know and I assume that many of us students can not sleep early and will woke up late in the morning. That will be a big problem to us students but I really can not sleep early so i can wake up early too for school and I an afraid that I will be always late when school already starts. Can you help me? How can I sleep early so I can wake up early too? Have you removed this habit? Please help me.

You have a body clock and your body is adjusting. So, if you sleep late during summer vacation and wake up late, your body will do just this. To change this, you have to change your body clock. Try to be in bed earlier like 9 pm or 9:30 pm or earlier whichever you prefer. Then set your alarm earlier also to the desired time you want to get up so that you won't be late for school. When I was a student and I have trouble sleeping, I usually get a book or magazine and read. After a few minutes, I feel sleepy and I usually fell asleep. When we read this is like a hypnotic act for our eyes that will lull us to sleep. Just don't read something that is so exciting for this will keep you awake. Just read a magazine that has short articles. Try this for a few days and your body will follow. You will then feel sleepy earlier and wake up early too.

good day! thanks for the very detailed response! it really helped me to change my biological / body clock. At first it was not that early that I woke up. But now, I can wake up early even without a alarm clock! Now I am not late going to my college school. Thanks.!

You have to start a week after school, start adjusting your body to sleeping earlier. You can exercise at night too, so that you will be tired and you can sleep earlier..

I have tried that but it really tires me and fall asleep but I think it is not good for my health? Is it, by the way i will try it too to make me used to sleep early so I can wake up early the next day.

Meditate. There is a way if you really want to. Take away all that might distract you and focus your mind by enjoying your school life and I think it would help you wake up early in the morning.

I have a method which I always used to correct the bio-clock. What I do is not to allow myself to sleep for one day. When it reach the appropriate time (say 12mn), then I climb up my bed and definitely I will fall asleep within minutes. Repeat this step a few times until the bio-clock is reset.

oh thanks for the very informative response! I Ill try that now. But, I have seen some post in the internet that our biological body clock is based on the time we eat when we woke up? What is the true thing?

If you are always worry and so much thinking in your mind that I am sure you can't sleep early. I am sure you can figure out to yourself how to manage waking up early. I have already encountered that situation, and believe me it is really hard to adjust body clock. I am also sleep late but I am able to manage to wake up early and there is always coffee in my morning meal.

Well,when you can't sleep,you can listen to some light music,it can help you fall asleep,=)now i miss the time in school that spent with my friends,school vacation is wonderful for students,like you ,you said many of yours students can not sleep early and will woke up late in the morning,hehehe~~~yes,that's a big problem to you,so you should sleep early at night,don't stay up late.hope you have a wonderful vacation!

hi there, i think you might have started to become more anxious to yourself that makes you feel so uncomfortable that you cannot sleep on time.. and the worst scenario is that it might also end up in insomia, .. so my advice to you is do the things that makes you tired so that you can fall asleep deeply...
