Would you wait for the 2nd flush?

You were in a shopping mall and suddenly you had an emergency. There are many people in the toilet. You did your business in time. The first flush didn't clear it all. The water filling up the tank was slow. Would you wait for the 2nd the flush? Or just walk out? Would you be embarrased when the next person entered? Or wow! who cares ... I have done my business already!

I would flush it again, I don't want see other peoples poop or pee in the toilet when I go in so I don't want them to see it either. If the second flush didn't work then I would come out let people know that its not working and go to either and find something that either runs the places or a janitor, this way they can put sign up or trying fixing the problem them selves.

I wish more people would go and be honest. I work at a grocery store and sometimes we seen the nastiest stuff we have to clean up after. I feel like, you don't even have to fess up it was you, just say " I Went into the bathroom and there is something very nasty in there. "

If there isn't a sign still you should go and tell someone so that it can be fixed. Like SomeCowgirl said no one is going to know it was you if you just tell them that something is wrong with the toilet and that it needs to be fixed. I change dirty diapers all day does that mean its okay for me while I"m out to leave diapers every where I go no does that mean if a trash can is full that I just leave the diaper where its at no it doesn't. It takes 2 seconds to tell someone else and if it happened in my house I would kick that person out of my house if they didn't tell my my toilet was broken and not flushing right. It don't matter where you go and weather you did it or not but you should at least be nice enough to take the responsibility to tell someone.

I suppose cases like dirty public toilets happen all the time. If you didnt flush then it's being unhygenic and inconsiderate. But if the flush is out of order and no warning signs was up then it's no fault of yours. The next user bears it all..lol.

When I've been in this situation I've waited either way and flushed a second time. After all I have to go out of the stall to wash my hands and so I will have to stand there a few minutes and risk the next person to go in to come right back out and give me a glare.

Normally we try a 2nd flush to clear the mess and odour. I want to thank everyone of you for your thougtful response. Know what to do now? To flush again or not its up to you!

Lol...i could just see the expression on your face when your washing your hands and someone walks in the door, and there only one toilet running and your the only one in there. yea i think i would wait for the second flush! And if it came to the point it didnt seem to go away, if some one did come in, i would jus inform them that that particular stall wasnt working and inform one of the workers there.

That's really funny and embarrassing. But, I will wait for the second flush, it won't take an hour for sure.

Wow.. that is the worst thing that could happen in the mall. It's so embarrassing to do that in a place full of people.. I think i will still wait for the second flush.. Since the person next to me deserves to have it clean... and then i will rush out without looking at anyone.

You are a nice considerate person. Due to no fault of yours you need not look at anyone.

I´d wait for the second flush patiently. If then it did not clean it, I´d accept fate and go away.

I would be kinda embarrassed and wait for a couple of minutes when the first flush is done. Then if it was kinda clogged then I would try to flush the toilet again to make sure the toilet cleans out all the mess I made. If I am unsuccessful, then I would make sure no one saw me leave the stall and would make a quick dash for the exit. lol.

Heh, that is bad enough for something like that to happen when I am in the privacy of my own house. To be the one to be clogging up the toilet with wastes, seeing the nastiness swirling back to the top. Considering whether or not I should try a second flush in a moment or take out Mr. Plunger and get to work dealing with the waste right in the toilet. Of course in public, it is a different kettle. Of course, I tend to avoid using public restrooms when I can. Trust me, when you see how not well some of them are kept on, some would be considering how dire an emergency would be in something like that. Of course, if no one is going to see me duck and run, then no one can prove anything. But perhaps I'll try a second flush, if I am daring.

When it happened in our own house of course we cannot duck but to clean it up. As for a 2nd flush in public that depends on the water system. if it works fine I believe most of us would flush again.

I would rather wait for the second flush. It will be some kind of respect with the other users. Another option to do is to peek outside and tell the next person to patiently wait because you are waiting for the next flush rather than going outside the stall and rush for yourself.

From the few responses so far I realise that majority are responsible for their output. Good job!

I will see to it that all the evidence is flushed out before I leave. It is too embarrassing to leave our dirt there. I don't care if the other person will have to wait a long, long time. She has to wait if she doesn't want to puke upon entering.

Aiyo .. it wont go down means it wont go down. I wonder how long you gonna let the next person wait. Sometimes we just have to give up. lol.

I would definitely wait. I'm pretty sure the next person who waiting in line wouldn't wanna go in if she sees a dung in there. So i would just tell them to wait a bit more since i need to flush what's left first. Just being responsible.

Yes one must be resposible for ones output. It's fair for the next person.

I probably wouldnt sit and wait for it. I figure since I wouldnt see the people again. I would wash my hands and rush out pretending like I didnt notice.

I would wait a little and then flush again. But if it would it appear to not go down at all, I'd get out of there real fast!

I think I would put my head down and shoot out of the stall as fast as I could lol... I would rather be embarassed by clogging the toilet than flooding the entire bathroom!!!!

lol. this is so funny. i think that i would not care, as long as no one saw that i was the one who came out of the bathroom. other than that, i guess there is nothing much else you could do. lol.
