How to teach my dog swim?

My older brother have two dogs that he
would like to teach to swim. One is a black
retriever and the other is a brown lab. I know
that they should like water, but when we first
moved into our home with a pool, they both
fell in a different day. As you can probably tell,
they are both scared of the water and now
wont come close to the pool. How do i get
them to like the water again and get them to
swim ?

dogs normally love water, maybe they find a pool not natural because the water is suddenly deep and your brother should bring them on a beach (if there's one not far from his home). So dogs could "know" water little by little and appreciate it.
