Have you ever had a realistic dream where when you woke up you thought you were still dreaming? I have I get them quite often actually. Last night I dreamed I had woken up took a shower, ate breakfast, and then went to work. Then I woke up and I did the same exact actions all over again and then I stopped while I was at worked and had to check to see if I was dreaming. I have had dreams where I met someone at the grocery store and I stood there talking about some unknown topic. The next day I was at the store and I bumped some one at the check out and we laughed and since the line took so long to even move a little bit we had this long conversation. I find this really strange.

A few times it happened to me. When I was sleeping in the untime in the afternoon, I dreamt like it is to be next day and doing my regular work. When I woke up it is night time and I thought it is going to be morning sooner. Just a confusion in that day in every work. You are able to see something in future through your dreams. It may not be exact but it will be like future to some extent. It happens for some people who has that power. The intensity of it differs from person to person.

Yeah I believe that dreams to tell what might happen in the future. I have dreamed about things that involved in car crashes and next day there are car crashes. There was one dream where I dreamed a plain falling out of the sky and crashing in my small town. A week later the same exact thing happened in real life. It was just a small plain but regardless it was in my dream. Weird! Questions is how do I figure out what dream is real and can I stop something bad from happening?

I have had a couple of dreams where I think that I am awake, but I am actually still dreaming. There is one dream that I especially remember. I dreamed that I woke up and discovered that I had overslept and that I missed my exam. I was very angry at myself and then I woke up (still in my dream) and I discovered that I didn't oversleep, and I knew that I wasn't going to miss the exam, because I had plenty of time. Then I woke (for real this time) and then I knew that everything was a dream - there was no exam at all. It was strange because at first I thought that the first part of the dream was real and I was sure that I had missed my exam. The second time I woke up in my dream I was sure that it was true that I had an exam and that I had plenty of time to get to the school. But everything was a dream... The second type of dream that you mention is a premonition dream and I have only had one of those dreams. When I was a nursing student I had a dream where the word: "gastro" was repeated several times and the next day I discovered that I had to spend my first clinical in a ward that specialized in gastroenterology.

The first one you describe sounds like a False Awakening, and I have them fairly often myself. I dream that I get up and I'm trying to go about my daily business or get dressed. Sometimes I realize that I'm still dreaming pretty quickly, and sometimes it takes me awhile. I had a dream like that once where I was standing in front of my dresser getting out clothes for myself and I just felt so tired. So I yawned, and I shook my head to try and get my energy level up. I wound up shaking myself awake! lol I also had a dream that I got up in the middle of the night and suddenly had a strong desire to clean the toilet, but no matter how much I scrubbed it just got worse until I realized I wasn't awake! Usually when I'm REALLY awake, I know it for sure. But I don't always know when I'm dreaming for certain.

I personally have the same problem. I will dream and then all of the sudden the dream will become 'true'. This is actually very common. This is kind of like deja vu. You see something in a dream and then 'see' the same thing in real life. You are actually not really seeing the same thing. Your brain sees one or two actions that are similair and automatically will place the next action that it has seen before in what is really happenings place. So its kind of like an illusion. This really does happen alot throughout day to day life. I am not to sure why the brain does this. However, you can look up 'what is Deja Vu' on youtube and watch a video about it. The one i saw was by vsauce. It always shocks me how amazing the human body is.

The latter is considered to be a premonition dream. I used to have them quite often. The first I have had many times as well. Dreaming that you woke up, got dressed, went to work, communciated with your co-workers or any other outside person you come in contact with, go home and eat etc... I work in a grocery store so I've dreamt ABOUT my customers before so it seemed that much more real.

I have had a few dreams that were so real that it was hard to break apart from the dream that seemed to cross over into my conscious world. When i have had these strong of dreams i felt like the dream was following me. sometimes the feel was hard to shake.

De ja vu can happen - LIke your dreamed about it beforehand.
I used to dream quite realisitic and scary , when i dream dropping into a bottomless black spiral well into endless bottom , wake up with cold sweat and clucthing the bedsheet very hard, sometime i repeat itself few times , giving me night fear. Until too tired to response and continue to drop into REM sleep.Yes sometime , while doing something feel like De ja vu , like dreamed about it before hand.

I always do. I sometimes find myself crying after waking up from these dreams because they seem to be real. The most current dream I had was unexpected. In my dream, I was with my husband in a place that I haven't seen before. The place was big and overwhelming. We're like in a museum and there were so many people around. I saw my husband very happy looking around the place then suddenly, he was gone. I look for him all over the place but didn't find him. I thought that he already left the place so I look for the exit door. I passed through many doors before I finally get to the exit. I look around but did not find my husband. I am not familiar with the place and did not see anyone whom I know. I started to walk and look for the entrance again. I thought of coming back inside but I can't find the entrance. I walk and walk and walk and didn't find the entrance. I was so tired walking that moment and it was starting to get dark so I was already worried and crying. I can see that people are already leaving the place. When I was already losing my hopes to find my husband, suddenly, a car stopped in front me. To my surprise, it was my ex boyfriend, whom I was with for seven year. He came running to me as if he was really there to rescue me. I cried more upon seeing him because finally, I saw someone I knew before the night comes. That is weird because I was hoping to see my husband that time but he was the one who appeared.

Well i feel that most of the dreams that we see at night are not realistic but some of them actually turn out to be true. To be very honest i never had any such experience as yours..
