Dear mylotters , I am new to mylot and have a question. Why do mylotters copy and past on mylot i.e. is it to make a point in there discussion or they just liked the article and they copied it directly without contributing their part to the post?

A very small number of people have tried to scam MyLot by copying and pasting things from other websites (such as Yahoo Answers). This is copyright infringement and is stealing and criminal and strictly against the Terms and Guidelines of MyLot. This is why MyLot has restricted the ability to copy and paste to those with a user rating of over 500. From time to time people come here who know how to get around this restriction. When they are detected, their accounts are invariably deleted. MyLot's moderation is good and very strict.

Please read the Guidelines: "DO NOT ... Post copyrighted articles or photos please link to them." It's important to understand the difference between posting a whole article and permitted quotation (with proper attribution, of course). MyLot requires that you be original. If you post something copied from elsewhere, even with the source quoted, without adding anything of your own, it will generally be considered 'plagiarism' and will be deleted. There's a big difference between illustrating an original discussion appropriately and simply posting someone else's work as a 'discussion'. That would be considered attempting to 'game the system'.
