Hello Mylotters!
So, here is the very CREEPY question for you all!!!
Have you or any of your family members ever been bitten by a spider?!
If so, what type of spider do you think it was?
Where on your body did the bite occur?
Was the spider deadly or harmless?
Did the spider leave a scar?
Where were you or your family member when this bite occured?
Do you think spiders are attracted to human blood?
Have you been bitten more than once? Multiple times?
Is there anything special that you do to get rid of and prevent spiders?
I ask these very creepy questions, because I have been bitten by a few spiders in the past...Most of them were harmless, but I do have a few scars.
Thanks for taking time to read this discussion!

Spider has never bitten me or anyone in my family. I find it strange that spiders do bite. Though spiders have crawled on me but left no scar. Probably all the spiders I see are harmless. I would not know or say is spiders are attracted to human blood but they always make their web in edges of room. To prevent spiders has to do with cleanliness and clearing any suspected source of them settling and making a web. If the room or environment is cleaned, the spiders will not be habiting such an area. Hope my response to your question does very little. Sorry because I have not been bitten by any JenAC1984

During my younger days,I used to play with my friends a spider war by putting two pieces of spiders in a bamboo stick, then the two spider have to fight each other with the other one is a sure winner. My spider was larger than the spider of my friend,so I was the winner and I have to put my spider back to my empty matchbox. When I tried to put it back,I was bitten in my finger, and it was seriously cut and bleeding,so I just
killed my spider as a revenge and I just go home and have my spider bite be given some medical attention. It was really very painful and it was swollen right after I was home to put some medicine in it.

Hi Berting600!
So, you actually touched the spider? Wow, you are so much braver than I could ever be! I am sorry to hear that you were bitten, but it was probably due to being handled I'm guessing. I have never picked up a spider and it is true, I have also killed a few of them in my lifetime. For the people who put them in a jar and take them outside to release them, I sure don't know why! I am an animal lover of all sorts, but I have a fear of spiders. I think that being bit is the reason for my fears, but I don't go around searching to kill them.
Thanks for your input! Have a great day.

That was long ago when I was braver to play with spiders. Now,even smaller spiders I am so afraid to touch it yet I really have to go after it because it could become bigger the next time I could encounter it,so that I could kill it.Thanks also for my reply have a good day.

Thankfully I've never experienced being bitten by one. I don't really play with them but I have seen my brothers play with them when we were younger. They'd put them in match boxes and then feed them with flies and cotton dipped in water. Then they'd let it fight on sticks. It was something the boys played in our country.
As for being bitten. I heard of my brothers saying they were bitten but since those spiders they were playing were a bit small and usual spiders, bites were not really treated nor thought of as something that would have a threat on their health.
I am now wondering how it would feel like if a huge spider (like those hairy ones in movies like Arachnophobia) would be like! SheeZ!!!
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Hi laydee!
Oh wow, your bothers were very brave! I've seen another comment by another person that mentioned the matchbox game with spiders. Different cultures have some unique ways of entertaining themselves. I have never seen the movie, Arachnophobia, but yes, I would also be very frightened. I'm not sure I could bring myself to watch it because my fear of spiders is very much there.
Thanks for sharing with me today!

Last year a spider bites my brother in his hand. it was a non- harmful spider but we went to doctor and done a blood test. My brother got really scared when the spider bites him. the spider bits him when he was in his bed. he feels that some thing bits his hand and when he looks he saw a spider in his hand!! he got scared and shouted loudly.... we all got scared at that moment. but when i thinks about it, it was really funny... My brother was crying at that time. He was just 10 years old at that time.

Hello ROCKHARISH3844!
I am so sorry to hear that your little brother was bitten and frightened. It is a very scarey situation. The spider bites I have endured have not been dangerous. I bet actually seeing the spider is what really upset him. It is good though that he seen what had bit him so that his doctor could treat him correctly.
Thanks for sharing your story!

I haven't bitten by a spider maybe because I hate insects. Only I remember my son on his younger age he wanted to have a spider. And ask if ever he was bitten by a spider is he going to be a spiderman?

Hi shaina228!
Awww! How very sweet of your son to have such an imagination! I have a seven year old boy that is all about Spidey! He is absolutely the number one fan of Spiderman. Just tonight, he asked me if I would find his costume so he could sleep in it..Haha Of course I told him he could! He also has a Spriderman collection, all the DVDs, and spiderman bed set on his bed. At Christmas time, "Santa" brought him Spiderman Web Slingers. It's so wonderful and sweet to witness the dreams and imaginations of our children. Thanks for sharing your story with me! It made me smile!

Dear friend,
Some years back I do remember the exact year may be during the 90s, I with my friends wend to a forest in south India, there one of my friend was bitten by a spider, I do not know what its name, but the tribal people there gave some herbal medicine and also he had spend one day in their hut. In the forest we have seen few different types of spiders. But the tribal says that these spiders are not harmful or dangerous. Only things they make me feel bit awkward in their appearance. My sister is very much afraid of spiders she would yell if seen one.

hi JenAC, yes I was bitten by what they said they thought
was a spider, while on a beach in Florida. It was horrible.
Both my arms were hurting me so bad that I could not do anything
but let them hang and just cry...I was at the hospital emergency
for 1/2 of the day and into the evening, while they observed my
reactions to the meds they gave me...
One of the worst feelings/hurts of my life...horrible!!!!!

Hello bjc66bjc!
Well, you are the first so far to respond and know exactly what it's like to be bitten by a spider. Yet, your bite sounds a lot more painful than what I have experienced. I have been bttn by small spiders called night hunters. The bites are painful but not as bad as it could be you know? I am so very sorry that you had so much pain! I bet that was so very uncomfortable! I am happy to hear you seeked treatment though. Thanks for sharing your story with me!

Hi subhojit10!
I am also very much afraid of spiders myself! The bites I have endured have been at night while sleeping. Thankfully. I see a skin care doctor regularly, so I have had wonderful medical care. Thanks for comenting on this topic!
