Hello fellow fashion-enthusiasts! I have recently cleared out my closet and donated most of my clothes to goodwill or have sent them to my less-fortunate cousins back home in the Philippines. My closet is now quite empty, except for a few basics such as plain v-neck tshirts, simple tanks tops, a couple hoodies and a few skinny jeans in dark and medium washes. As I go shopping for things to add to my wardrobe, I find myself looking for pieces that can be used in more than one season. Here in Canada, it doesn't stay summer for very long (3 months, tops) and as a thrifty person, I hope to be able to use most of my clothes in the colder months as well. What would you guys recommend as your favourite transitional clothing item? (BTW, I'm 22 years old and I'm going for a younger, not-so-officey look :P) Thanks so much!!

for me it is a jean skirt. i work in an office and this type of skirt can be work year round with sandals, ballet flats or even flip flops in the summer (one of my co-workers does wear flip flops to work) and can be worn in the winter with tights and boots.

Oh wow, its been a while since I thought about rocking the denim skirt. But ya, I totally see how it could work in the winter months too. Thanks a lot! Do you have any recommendations on where I can find a nice denim skirt on a very modest budget?
