This year I thougth I would try and make some beaded ball tree ornaments. I haven't beaded in awhile so I hope I can get it all figured out. I found some free tutorials online. It looks simple enough. lol. I did make a beaded snowflake/star ornament. I didn't have a pattern but it came out pretty good. As you can see in the pic it did come out looking more like a star than the snowflake I had in mind. Oh well, now I know what not to do the next time I try one.

It came out lovely tho. I am thinking about doing more beading this year. When I first started was like a mad woman made earrings, bracelets and stuff on that lines but I think will make stuff for my tree next year. Beaded and not beaded. I like to make ornaments that look quilted have you seen those?

I have not seen the quilted ones. All the ornaments I made this year I gave away. Maybe next year I'll get some on my own tree.

...The ball gowns come out very well. There are several books available and Bead & Button magazine has had several. I tried to make the tea leave one the magazine had. I tried it several different time using different beads. I cound never get it to fit a standard size bulb. I bought a six inch bulb and it fit.
...Some patterns I have had to rework because the directions are wrong. Start with simple netting and work up from there. You will get a better feel as to what will work and what will not.
...If I knew where my books were, I'd give you their references. I have moved and I am not sure which box they are in. If I find them, I'll come back and post them for you and other readers.
...Happy beading. Peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della
