We went shopping today and I wanted to stop off at the pet store. Marco is a chewer and I dont want him to chew his cage and hurt himself.
I grabbed him this hay wire cone for him, papaya pills (digestive help), mineral chew (which he loves), these veggies puff treats, also Patches, Toppie, and Stripes two toys each one being little mice, and then these toys stuffed with catnip.
I ordered a few toys online from the US (which arnt sold in Canada) with my online earnings.
When I got home Marco was sneexing, he only does it once in awhile. But I said to my Mom if he doesnt stop then Ill bring him to the vet. Both my sister and Dad say you waste your money on the most stupid things bringing a rabbit to the vets.
Why do they care if I waste my money or not. I dont complain when they waste their money on their snowmobiling, or their useless girlfriends.

It always bugs me when people say that spending money on pets' medical care is unnecessary or wasteful. That's something I consider part of responsible pet ownership. I can't imagine getting another pet without taking those expenses into consideration when budgeting for it.

I agree completely thats one thing you need to consider and most dont. I have a friend who took on a cat, and was saying she has no money, and barely feed the cat. Now if something happened she couldnt afford the vet bills, let alone find one as she doesnt have one. I would never let ana nimal suffer if I couldnt afford it I would arrange something or charge it to my credit card.

If you love pets but you also see that it can bring a rift in your family. i would advice for you to sacrifice it for now until you get into your own apartment. I know that your parents are there to guide you and being frugal I think arranging priority of spending our money will pay us at the end of the day. Probably from their remark they have observed for a time as such remark can not be credited to only today's action.
Thanks 911Ricki for sharing this with us today.

I don't feel as if it's a waste. It's actually something WORTH wasting one's money over if you ask me. Now I see you made a typo, and said "dad" then "girlfriends" I'm sure you meant your sister's boyfriend and your brother's girlfriend though.
Either way, it's not only WORTH wasting your money on, but it's being humane to the animals. NOBODY should suffer!

I don't think it's wasted money if spent on making the lives of your pets as good as possible.

Probably your siblings or parents worry about your spending habits. You have your own reason not to let them worry, since you are not bothering their lifestyle. I have a friend who also loves animals, and she would take good care of them too. For me, I probably unwilling to spend that much money on animals too. That is the money I have to use to pay off my bills and the credit debts.

You must stay the way you're because there is a real dearth of genuine, innocent children of God. You're like an angel. Who says you're wasting your money? You're doing good to the animals, you are doing good to the world, and you're doing good to the heaven above and the earth below. Elders and parents cannot always see the gem you're because they are completely tainted by the material world and for whom the sole enterprise in the world is accumulation of money. But they don't know money for whom? Money for what? Money's purpose and utility? The best use of money in my opinion is when it can do good to the living creatures in the universe. Keep up the good job.
