Recently my electric fan runs so slowly, and it is not cool at all while the summer is very hot...I opened it out and check, everything seems ok, i drop a bit gasoline to it...and i did assembly it back. It run well but after 2-3 days, it runs slowly again...
I opened it out again and check it, gasoline is dried but i have no motor oil at home. Finally, I decided to drop olive oil that i often use for cooking and caring my skin to it. I was nervous a bit because normally we use motor oil for a electric fan only. And you know, it is so amazing... the fan runs smoothy again...and 5 days past but it is still so good.
I fixed that fan and i found that we can use olive oil for a fan also
I am truly an engineer, right?

That was a good news for you. And that was a good discovery too. :P
I had tried fixing a fan before too and just use motor oil on it and never tried to use any other oil. I am afraid that it might cause more harm than good if ever I will try some other oils on it.
Hope your fan will run smoothly for a longer period of time. ;)
