When you come to see those airfare advertising from spirit airline or allegiant airline, they might find their airfare just too cheap to believe it in comparison to other airlines. But the catch is about the baggage handling. If you read carefully, or hear someone who recently travel with spirit or allegiant, you will know there is a $100 charge fee on carry - on bag. That just too much for my own consideration. I thought that carry - on bag suppose to be free, now they gonna hit you with $100 fee. What do you think? Would you exchange a $100 fee with a cheap airfare?

Seriously, they have the nerve to call it a baggage HANDLING fee when its your carry-on bag and you're the only person who's going to be carrying it on board? Would this practice not put your travel costs close to a regular full fare airline that you could choose a more honest alternative?

This makes me wonder...if they charge $100 for carry on bags, what are they charging for hold luggage? One of the budget airlines serving Ireland,uk,and european routes was creating charges for all kinds of add on options...but their rules allowed for a passenger to carry a coat...so people bring coats with big pockets, and someone came up with wearable luggage...it can be carried by straps as a holdall, but it will open out and has sleeves so you can wear it on boarding the plane!

Wow that is really odd. I never heard of this. So what, you are supposed to travel with nothing? Just um, you? The price of luggage should remain in the price of the ticket and a carry on is not a luxury it is a necessity like the bathroom is. Are they gonna charge you for that next, per visit? I do not agree with the other bags being free as I feel it discourages people from taking too much luggage with them. I never understand this. It's like, three huge heavy suitcases? Really, do you want to crash? I feel the lighter the plane the less chance of crashing. If anyone disputes this they should have sat across from the absolutely huge man that sat across from me, and every time he moved or got up I felt the floor move. My knuckles were white. But this is crazy. Carry on's should remain free.

I know that Spirit Airline fly out of a place near Miami. I love the destinations on their route map: Central America, Northern South America and some of the Caribbean Islands. The airfares are meant to be low but the $100 charge for carry on baggage is silly. I don't like the way that budget airlines are making passengers pay for hold baggage. As if anyone could go on a two week vacation with hand luggage only. My need to take my disabled son's wheelchair and medical stuff for him. In my home country we have low cost airlines like Easy Jet and Ryan Air. Their charges are similar to that and are getting silly too. I usually fly on good quality planes and rarely on low cost carriers. The "low cost" is not low by the time all the extras are added like baggage and check in.

I never heard of that airline company. That is their own marketing strategy and they make it that way to attract more passengers. Personally I would consider my safety first over any kind promo when it comes to traveling by air.

That is why I hardly ever buy tickets from those cheap airlines...because everything you do or need they charge you extra ...and sometimes they charge you ridiculous among...for example I even had to pay for "WATER" during the flight....I mean water!!! come on........and the worst case is if they happened to cancel the flight..there is nothing you can do about it.......trust me...I have been into those kind of situations before...and there was nothing I could do but to purchase another ticket from other more reputable and of course a bit more expansive airline..
